Nice sky photos Tim. I didn’t realize how large those cranes really are until I compared them to the Canada Geese in the one photo. I enjoyed the squadron of cranes flying by.
Lol, like the cranes know it’s their day. ….Maybe they do? Casual Crane Friday.
Was Mama Owl near your nest? I forget, when do eggs get laid? It must be soon.
Sandias are gorgeous. xo
They only reason I knew that was mama owl is that she was hooting back and forth with daddy owl who was on the nest. They lay eggs between the end of January to the end of February. Thanks, Resa.
The cranes must be massing down there having made their way from the north. Got to see a GHO of our own a few days ago on one of our birding treks – thought of your residents and was wondering how they were doing.
Thousands of cranes winter in Bosque del Apache 100 miles south of us. A few hundred of the smarter cranes stay up with us where they don’t have lots to eat in the fields and orchards and not so much competition. Thanks, Brian.
Again, there is a wonderful mood in your skies- and birds-photography.
Thanks, Heidi.
Flying cranes, number two, what a view!
Thanks, Geoff.
Truly is “Crane Friday”… enjoying the wonder! …as am I! 🙏
Thanks, Marina.
I love cranes and these are wonderful photographs….thank you:)
Thanks, Janet.
Oh… And flying clouds. Lovley.
Thanks, Shey.
I love the cranes against the lavender sky! It’s good to see Mama Owl again.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Lovely!
Thanks, Cindy.

NatGeo’s got nothing on you, Timothy. What a wonderful selection.
Thanks, Dale.
How fun to have so many cranes nearby.
It’s really fun. Thanks, Brad.
Realy nice shots of the cranes. I loved the “in flight capture”
Thanks, Rudi.
Dawn is beautiful, and I love seeing the cranes and Mama Owl! The last shot of the Sandias wearing a cloudy hat is gorgeous.
Thanks, Lavinia.
