I love that photo of Laurie holding the rescued snake. Cats will go after them. Did they bring that one inside?
A beautiful dawn and nice moon, too. It rained here last night, so I didn’t get to see it. I bet pTerodactyl is pleased with a little more water in his watering hole.
At North Ranch, they need to come through the phalanx of barn cats. Snakes (of any kind) and horses do not mix. We have a zero tolerance for them since we run a performance barn. Inside the main house, Caitie is the mighty huntress.
So I showed the shot of Laurie HOLDING the legless creature of death and now I am banished to the couch…wait until she sees my latest post, I’m going to be sleeping in the proverbial doghouse (proverbial in the sense Linda would NEVER allow the poodles to live in such poor conditions – me, not so much care).
You are a glutton for punishment. I think Linda needs to get over her fear of snakes, although, if she conquers her fear of snakes, she might take over the world. Only you can say if that is good or not. Thanks, Brian.
Your fingernail polish looks good on you 🙂 Makes for a great contrast to the snake… and I like your comment to Resa about painting the nails on your right hand when playing the flamenco guitar… that is a perfect combination.
Nails are fun. When I first started playing flamenco guitar, my boss noticed my right hand with painted nails and said, “I’m not even going to ask!” Thanks, Randall.
A melon moon! Love the red polish – it brings out the snake’s spots.
Glad to see the water up…
Thanks, Dale. The pTerodactyl is happy. The snake and nails go well together.
I bet it is! And yes, very artistic.
The melon moon is gorgeous, beautiful pics.
Thanks, Holly.
A wonderful picture of the snake
Thanks, Robbie.
Whew, good rescue Laurie! I had to save a spider tonight 💕
Thanks, Cindy. Good for you. I rescue a lot of spiders. also.
You’re welcome. I know you do!!! she was scared it would get the baby and it was a black widow. 💕
Love them all, the melon moon especially.
Thanks, Shey.
FantASTIC PICS AND I LOVE THE GARTER SNAKE:)
Thanks, Janet. The snakes craw into the catio, and then we have to rescue them from the cats. The cats rarely hurt the snakes, which is good.
I’ve never seen the moon look like a melon slice before.
Over exposure and digital telephoto has a way about it. Thanks, Liz.
Ah, that explains it. You’re welcome, Tim.

While the cats do bring snakes inside, they were pestering this on in the catio. Clear and warm here. Thanks, Lavinia.
What a cute and colorful snake!
It is. Thanks, Tiffany.
The moon looks water color-y. Nice effect.
Thanks, Brad.
Beautiful dawn and that’s one lucky snake! [way to go Laurie!]
Melting Melon Moon!
Nice nails. Our compliments to Laurie.
Garter snakes that made the mistake of coming inside our old house:

Thanks, Deborah. Laurie does her nails herself.
Love the snake.
Thanks, Gigi.

Love your nail polish, Tim! 😉🤗😘
When I started playing flamenco guitar year’s ago, I painted the nails on my right hand. Laurie started painting her nails, also. Thanks, Resa.
