Spot The Sun

Clouds crawl in western sky
Spot the sun, orange and black
Trees try on gold, like grasses
Watch contrail over crescent moon
Watermelon colored mountains

  1. There is a face in that orange amoeba crawling the western horizon! The images and colors are beautiful, Tim.

At dawn, two bright planets left, one in the east and one in the west, after the stars all winked out. Clear up here tonight, and I caught a good view of the sliver moon in the southwest sky.

      • Clouds this morning. It’s supposed to be sunny and warm after 10 AM, and clear tonight. Should be another good night for moon viewing. The afterglow up here on clear days has been spectacular lately. Most of the smoke from fires and agricultural dust has settled out with recent rains. The sky can look almost a coppery metallic.

  2. Tim,
Your poem describes all, beautifully. Gorgeous shots and colours.
At least there’s water in the last shot.
Is that the Rio Grande? xx

    • Those are gnats swarming. I ride through swarms of them on my bike. I’m always coughing up nasty old gnats. Thanks, Brian.
