Dawn
A thunderstorm passed through this afternoon and produced 0.02 inches of rain. Not much precipitation, but looking on the bright side, that was double the rainfall we got in July.

Balloons were flying this morning. We should start seeing more balloons as the Balloon Fiesta draws near.

Beautiful photos, Tim. Looking forward to the balloon festival. I hope you get good weather for that, and rain when you want it. We’ve had a little rain here, but it is back to dry.
Thanks, Lavinia. I hope the monsoons don’t come in October.
I spent a little time in Rio Rancho last month and was surprised when several mornings I saw balloons out the window. I said “this must be early preparation for the Balloon Fiesta.” The response was, “oh, it’s just the Rainbow Riders taking up clients.” I guess a lot goes on over there that I never see from my house. I’m looking forward to lots of balloons this year!
The Rainbow Riders fly almost every morning. I see their balloons up I go to work. They are up by dawn in the summertime. Thanks, Susan.
Who are the Rainbow Riders?
They are company who offers balloon rides: https://rainbowryders.com/
Thanks for the link. Looks fun. Up, up and away in a beautiful balloon!
They fly a lot. It’s really cooled down out here. We are up to 0.19 inches of rain for September. There was fine hail at the university this afternoon that looked like snow.
Looking forward to more of the fest when it gets going
Thanks, Shey.
Pre-festival practice?
It’s hard to say—lots of flying year-round. I just pulled your comment from spam. Thanks, JYP.
The balloons reminded me of dandelion seeds afloat on the wind. Great sky photos, as expected.
Thanks, Brad. Lots of seeds will be floating next month.
Oooooo balloons! It’s almost time for the festival!
Love the sky photos, my friend!
Thanks, Nancy.
The weird clouds at sunset are very artistic.
True. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
A little rain is better than none. Great skies and can’t wait to see the fiesta sky Tim💕
Thanks, Cindy.
Cheers to spheres……planets and balloons!
Thanks, Geoff.
0.02 is double what you got in July? Aye aye aye! Fabulous Fotos!
Thanks, Dale. It’s super dry here.
It is – which is normal, no?
Dry is normal. This dry is not normal.
I was afraid you were going to say that. This ball is all or nothing, isn’t it?
Seems that way.
Bummer
Dawn clouds are wild, as in, wow wild!! 0.02 doesn’t sound good at all. I think I should send some over! We had more than enough!
We need it. Thanks, Marina.
🌧☔️⛈🙏
Looking forward to see more of them soon.
We had an important balloon meeting in the 1th of september not so far from Antwerp but I was not able to be there this year.
Thanks, Rudi.
Had to think what AIBF was. Everyone was talking to me in acronyms.
Check out my Acronymphomania post: https://wp.me/p1yQyy-4J0. Thanks, Danzig.
Wish I could share some rain with you .. ! I always enjoy the balloon festival. Wonderful sky pics Tim
Thanks, Julie.
I wish we had a balloon festival here! It looks like fun!
