The crow highway was in full swing at dusk with thousands of crows flying south over the Rio Grande and bosque.
The Sandias in dusk purple make a beautiful background.
A lone crow taking a break in a cottonwood that stands between the clearwater ditch and the irrigation ditch.
Those colours are sublime, Timothy.
Thanks, Dale.
I love those transitional colors, Tim. I never tire of looking at those mountains, sky and wildlife.
Thanks, Lavinia. They are very nice to have. Especially these days.
Nice number in that murder. My great uncle told me when I was a young “whippersnapper” that a large group of crows was called a murder of crows. I always remembered that of all things.
That’s true. It’s seems strange, but then agian, Alfred Hitcock took it literally. Thanks, Maj & Sher.
Wonderful captures!!
Thanks, Leyla.
The lone crow had had enough of the crowds! Beautiful colors on the mountain, plenty of comms towers up there.
Lots of towers on the crest. Thanks, John.
I’ve never been to the Rio Grande but I’m my mind these colors epitomize your region of the world. Exquisite photographs!
You rode over the Rio Grande on your Route 66 journey. Depending on the time of year it was, the Rio Grande probably wasn’t very impressive. You are absolutely right about the colors out here. Thanks, Holly.
I’m not aware of seeing the Rio Grande on our journey out west on 66. I must not have been very impressed. If I go again which is not likely I will stop and take a good look!
Beautiful sunset colors. That is a crowded highway.
Lots of crows in the murder. Thanks, David.
I’ve been out-crowed, Tim.
Marvellous shots!
Thanks, Inchcock.
Perfect frames, my dear Tim. Colors scenery and of course… the crows! Made my day! 🙏👍
Thanks, Marina.
Very impressive that flock of crows !
Thanks, picpholio.
Crows. YES… Especially love that third one.
Thanks, Shey. I didn’t walk down to check if they were on your tree. There was an owl in it the other day, but it flew before I could get a photo.
I likes owls too.
Awesome editing, Tim, and incredible compositions. Wow! Beautiful share! Thank you! xo
Thanks, AmyRose.
Dramatic and beautiful landscape….thank you 🙂
Thanks, Janet.
Buon fine settimana 🙂
Each shot is gorgeous, Tim. What breathtaking color. I can hear the birds flapping and cawing. Hugs on the wing.
Thanks, Teagan. They make a lot of noise.
Stunning colors, Tim. Beautiful how the crows pepper the sky.
“Pepper the sky” that’s a prefect description. Thanks, Mia.
Beautiful photos, I love the colors of your sky!
Thanks, Tiffany.
The whole sky is like a rainbow.
That it is. Thanks, Susan.
Oh Wow!
The first shot is a gem.
The whole post is fabulous.
Thanks, Resa.
Wonderful colours Tim ..
