Indeed, some winter scenes are extremely impressive. I’ve been painting winter, too, but I don’t really like being outside when it’s cold. Your images are fantastic!
Thanks! It’s a lot easier doing photos in the cold than painting in the cold. Better to paint from the photos in the studio when it’s really cold out — at least as studies.
Cold? No, the lovely photos actually look pretty balmy to me. The temp is minus 30 right now. The horses are blanketed and kicking their heels…really,,,, running in the pastures. We make them tough in Canada!!!!
Gorgeous images, all of them! (And I don’t even like winter!!! 🙂 )))))))))) )
Cold is not much fun, but winter offers lots of beautiful scenery. Thanks, Susan!
Oh wow that is an awesome photo but oh man that looks cold.
Thanks! It was well below freezing, but not nearly as cold as it gets with our normally clear skies.
Beautiful images, Timothy! And the colors are great! Were these taken with conventional film?
No snow here yet. It was 24 this morning with a high of about 45 today, but supposed to be warming up tomorrow.
Thanks, Lavinia! These are digital. I have to have color film processed, so I do very little color film.
great shot! awesome.
Thanks!
Beautiful, beautiful!!♡
Thanks, West! I haven’t seen much of you on WP lately.
Hey Timothy~ yes Ive been far too busy with Holiday activities since November, and now Im very glad to get into the New Year and slow down a little!!
The holidays can really eat up your time. I hope you had a very nice Christmas, and that 2015 will be a great year for you.
Thank you so much! I hope ya’ll had a great Christmas/New Years 🙂 …I pray it will be bright and beautiful!
Thank you for taking these pics, makes me appreciate feeling warm right now.
You are welcome Vanessa!
Looks pretty cold to me! I think that must be the storm that rolled through here on new year’s eve 🙂
Thanks, Janna! Probably the same storm.

Minus 30º F or C is cold. It was 22º F when I took these photos — that must feel like the Bahamas for you this time of year!
Oh wow the rust color is amazing on these! Wow and the snow with the stream! Like post cards! So beautiful! It looks cool!
Thanks, Michelle!
