Waning Wolf Moon over Jupiter, Pollux, and Castor

Sasquatch stumbled upon a scoop shovel
Under the light of a waning Wolf Moon
When darkness would give way to twilight soon
Sasquatch wandered out from his hovel
Onto the beach where he spied a shovel
What is this strange thing? He thought with wonder
Is it useful or a trap to pull me asunder?
Oh, hark! I hear a human coming this way
It’ll have to wait for another day

“Sasquatch? Did you say Sasquatch? We heard he likes to eat cats!”

Dawn

Spunk: “I’m not afraid of no stinking Sasquatch! I kicked his butt six years ago when I slipped through a wormhole, and it took me a month to fight my way back into this dimension.”

Dusk
Black lace tree at dusk

Sasquatch was tired of the forest?
Love the black trio (or do we have to say Black?)
I so remember when Spunk was out fighting Sasquatch and had us all worried about him!
The bosque is a cottonwood forest. Actually, New Mexico is a hot spot for Sasquatch activity. The director of UNM Gallup on the western edge of the state got in trouble back in 2017 for using UNM’s discretionary funds to hunt for Bigfoot, claiming it was legitimate research. The legislature passed a bill banning the use of public funds to hunt fictitious creatures in the next session. Here’s an article about Bigfoot in NM: https://hangar1publishing.com/blogs/cryptids/new-mexico-bigfoot-sightings Thanks, Dale.
Well call me properly educated! Thanks for the info, Tim. I admittedly had zero clue.
No reason for you to have a clue. It’s quite interesting that we would have so many Sasquatch sightings out here. It’s also interesting how the big S remains so elusive.
Truly! And I shall go to bed tonight just a little bit smarter.
Me too, Dale.
Lookit us, Inchy!
I have always wondered where Spunk was and what he was doing when he went missing for a month. We were all so happy when he showed up. π€ππ»
Now we know. Spunk finally spilled the beans. Thanks, Susan.
We got the snow shovel out today….
Sounds serious. I don’t own a snow shovel. Thanks, Shey.
Neither do we!!! I’ve been known to stick a large piece of heavy cardboard on a garden fork though. it does for a bit.
Clever cat commentary and sasquatch silliness.
Thanks, Brad. You might be interested in this article: https://hangar1publishing.com/blogs/cryptids/new-mexico-bigfoot-sightings
Thanks Tim. It’s an interesting article and blog, and I still fall in the skeptic camp.
I love the Sasquatch photo and poem! I believe that Spunk could bring down a Sasquatch.
Spunk is a tough kitty. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Love the triplet cats. LOL Spunk could kick anyone’s butt, tough guy that he is. Photo’s of dusk and dawn…beautiful.
It’s impressive when Spunk does his tough guy walk around the house. Talk about a stray cat strut! Thanks, Gigi.
LOL Can never take the tough guy out of a cat, even if he enjoyes the pets and kisses.
True.
Tim, I love how your photographs carry the story forward and the poem opens another door into it. Thereβs something wonderfully future-facing about this way of sharing, letting image and word work together, each doing what it does best. And the Sasquatch idea was brilliant.
The shadow looked very Sasquatchy to me. More Sas to come. Thanks, Rebecca.
What great photos. Sasquatch? Hmm I donβt think we have any Sasquatch activities up north lol
The three black kitties look like theyβre plotting some shenanigans!
My Carer said when hr looked at this; “That’s pure entertainment!”
Oh, Spunk, so glad you are back with us now!
Sasquatch will be back for that shovel.
I loved the black lace tree.
Beautiful nature shots, kitties, and Sasquatch shadow!! π
