A primordial lanscape?

We’ve received 1.55 inches of rain in July so far. A decent amount of rain in comparison to previous months and the past three July’s. The afternoon thunderstorms are a promising sign that we might have a monsoon season this year. Although we need a lot more rain. The river is running low, so we have not had irrigation water since the middle of June.

Misha is good. She seems happy. She’ll sit near (but not too close) to me when I draw or sew at night. She happily greets Norm when he comes home.
When I come home she screams at me for going out.
Loves bossing me around. I’m allowed to rub her ears. Norm gets to rub her tummy and rough house play with her.
No kissing or picking up allowed.
All in all, pretty great. She’s only been here 6 months. She’s 6 years old now.

Arizona is in terrible shape! Severe drought, no rain, people are losing their house insurance due to risk of fire, Lake Powell is so low that experts are worried about the ability to generate electricity at Glen Canyon Dam, the same with Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. Groundwater is evaporating across the state, and the City of Phoenix is sinking, partly due to the disappearance of groundwater. Experts are worried about the Colorado River drying up in the Grand Canyon. We just had a huge wildfire there that destroyed the historic Grand Canyon Lodge. Please send us some of your rain!

I think Gwendolyn has a chance to make it big – through in some tracks which is all the rage with “live” concerts these days and stardom will assuredly follow. (Meanwhile I am trying to get caught up on your posts while listening to my playlist of SP and BuckCherry vids on YouTube).

I still need to do that, I did check and u just have the DDG extension to Firefox as their full browser. Note, I am unable to comment on WP with that combination and have to jump on chrome instead..very weird, but basically DDG extension is not recognizing my WP credentials. Looks like you will have plenty of concert opportunities coming your way.
I comment through the Reader. WP is weird about commenting directly on posts. I got tired of trouble shooting the issues. The Reader works best for me.
