Bullsnake ¡Olé!

Sunset

Laurie with the Bullsnake. ¡Olé!

A large bullsnake was lying in the road. A large pickup truck rolled over it, but luckily it avoided running over the snake with the truck’s tires. I got out of our car, scooped up the bullsnake, and handed it to Laurie. The snake was squirking around, so she rolled down her wind and let it hang its head out the window like a dog. It calmed down a bit as we drove home. After photographing each other with the snake, I let it go in Rebecca’s Black Bamboo.

It seemed most appropriate that I was wearing an Alice Cooper T-shirt while holding the Bullsnake.

Jake and I saw a coyote on our walk at dusk.

Intermission: A photo taken by Laurie of the forest close to Tristan’s house in Germany.

Gwendolyn, the round-eyed devil, was waiting for grass.

  1. Oh, now so much goodness in one post! That’s one lucky Bullsnake and Laurie looks so sweet with him! Yep, AC is perfect combination! Love those twin roots Laurie took and well, painter still in great mood. Gwendolyn agrees I’m sure. What does Jake think about the coyote?

    • Thanks, Marina. Jake wants to make friends with the coyotes. We saw four coyotes on our walk this morning. That was a lucky bullsnake.

  2. The Alice Cooper t-shirt? I can go for that. But the Bullsnake…?? I don’t think so… 😎

    • I didn’t think you would like the snake. If you go to an AC concert, he always has a snake. Thanks, Herman.

  3. Laurie’s forest pic keeps drawing me back. Although I can see two trees with roots growing together, it is hard not to also imagine happy forest root creatures dancing together, laughing, and having a great time helping support one another. It makes me smile. 🤔🤭🙂

  4. That is a very handsome bullsnake! The photo from Laurie of the forest near Tristan’s house in Germany was intriguing. Those Ent-like trees look like they are clasping rooty “hands” and having a good conversation. Like Susan, I found the photo joyous, and it brought a smile.

    • A long bull snake. I’m happy we got him before he got run over. The tree roots are great. Thanks, Lavinia.

  5. I’m so glad the snake was okay. Poor thing. Lucky you came along in time to help. Your sky is always amazing and I’m in love with your cats, so great post.

    • Our kitties are loveable. I’m happy we got the snake in time. It would be a shame to get that long and then get ran over. Thanks, Gigi.

  6. Love how you guys saved the snake!!! xxxxxxx

Yes, the Alice T is perfectly in theme.

Gee, that/those green tree(s) look right out of The Hobbit.

Great shot, thanks Laurie and Tim!

    • Susan thought similar things about the green tree roots. Lots of spirits and fairies. Thanks, Resa.

  7. Ummm, Tim that’s a s n a k e. Thou shalt not touch, thou shall not play with, thou shalt not move, thou shalt not hold, thou shalt not let it drive in your vehicle, thou shalt not release anywhere close to humans and thou shalt never post picture of said snake for innocent victims, I mean people to stumble upon within eyeshot of a certain someone’s spouse.

(with that out of the way.. cool snake Tim!)
