Those effing Japanese beetles have done a number on my roses, as per every year but this year, they have started attacking my very same coneflowers as you show above.
You get some of the most beautiful skies, Tim. I particularly love dawn with those crepuscular rays. The beetle is a handsome fellow in those metallic colors! And the kitties, birds and flowers always a pleasure to see. Nice to see the Cooper’s Hawk. Ours has not returned, yet.
You’ve been busy Tim!…can’t say the same for my man Spunk. I’ve been cutting switchback trails in our woods these last couple of days and my clothes weighed more than I did at the end of the day. I have to admit our soil is definitely more nutrient than yours – our untouched woods is plush with black soil. Love the rays in that first shot as they pass under the clouds.
Spunk works all night protecting us from ghosts, goblins, and nefarious spirits. It wears him out. It sounds like a lot of work for you in your dark woods and soil. Everything is light out here. Thanks, Brian.
great photos: no one does clouds like you !
Thanks, John.
Glove?
I read Love, Tim. The Persistence of Love.
I rolled back to see the first shot of Spunkie-Poo 💋, and saw the gloves. Then saw Glove.
Anyway, that Spunkie -Poo 💋 is crazy photogenic.
… and hawks do perch on gloves.
Pets for Gwendolyn! xx
We leave the gloves on the top to dry, and the cats push them off. Thanks, Resa.
Yet another chore cats are good at!
A beautiful dawn photo! I don’t often get to see the sun rising, as we face the west.
Thanks, Rebecca.
That colorful bug is fabulous. Beautiful photos!
Thanks, Michele.
Going on from the first comment there, no-one does any of these things like you.
Thanks, Shey.
That bug! Those clouds! The Dawn! Oh my!
Thanks, Nancy.
The first image is the money shot for me!
‘Dawn’ is gorgeous….as are all the other pics….I do love your cat pics:)

Glove is hanging on by its fingertips 😉

We have a lot of Cooper’s Hawks here. Thanks, Lavinia.
Your colors are amazing.. what is that blue bug on the incredible pink orage flower?
We call them peach beetles. I’m not sure of their real names. Thanks, Cindy,
Those gloves……. got to hand it to you!
Hahaha! The cats think they come in handy. Thanks, Geoff.
