White Emo Emu

While I was out riding this afternoon, I happened across a white Emu. Apparently, white Emus are rare, and this one might be albino. She was happy to pose for a fashion shoot but not happy when a big white dog ran up barking, interrupting our photo session. Ms Emu took no time to show señor Perro how she felt about him butting in on her fashion shoot and promptly pecked him on his butt. Then she chased him into a dugout and came back for more photos.

  1. The emu shots are amazing…..I love the sunset photograph….Have a great weekend. On Sunday England plays in the Euros final….watch this space….as the country erupts should we win:)

  2. My goodness, glad I saved the reading of this till now. It is wonderfully surreal, as are the pics. You are adding to your home here if the white emu stays.

    • They are not naturally here, and they are not wild. There was an Emu craze some years ago. I guess this one is left over from the craze. Thanks, Tiffany.

  3. Oh gosh – the albino emu!!!!! What a cutie! She looks so fashionable and I love her expression. The animated GIFS of her and the dog are hilarious! Lastly, I love the sunrise photo of the sun rays hitting the wall. It’s fun to see the unique lighting the sun casts on random objects! ❤️

    • Thanks, Samantha. I’m happy you enjoyed the Emu and the dog. They were a hoot. I love sun and shadow shapes.

  4. That’s awesome what you’ve done with the short clips! Maybe it’s just me, I want to pat pat pat her back fluff… and kiss her beak. But, she’ll probably peck me for trying either one of those.

  5. Love this! I’ve seen plenty of emus but never a white one. Silly cute dog but maybe he has a thing for big white birds! Very cool pics and videos Tim. 😄

  6. Did you see that in the wild? Not sure I ever seen an emu in the wild and I’ve never actually seen a WHITE one at that. How cool, but no dog should take a peck from an Emu, that’s just wrong ha.
