Iris are blooming

Honeysuckle. The out layer.

Osric on the gate listening as Nora hoots him a grocery list.

Willa and Walter were in the nest tonight. Willa ignored me for a long time.

“Oh! Hey there, Paparazzo! And there’s la Paparazza! Is that mama I hear?”

Sunset

The Iris is a gown of a flower. How stunning, and great shots Tim.
The owlets are growing up so fast. And they are adorable!
You are right. Have you made an Iris gown? I’m trying to remember. The owlets will fly soon. Thanks, Resa.
No Iris gown yet.
Next one will be a wedding gown. One of the bloggers sent me a couple of boxes of white, off white and cream laces and linens from her grandmother’s collection. Her mother hung onto them, and the she inherited them from her mother.
They were stored properly, are in great shape, and still have tensile strength. It will be a wedding gown mind blower!
You know anyone thinking about getting married to wear it when you’re done?
Not yet, but I’m hoping!
Oh wow! How cool!!
Super cool.
I see you found Resa’s post on your beautiful gown. Beauty all around.
Yes!!! I’m so thrilled!
Yes!!
💞💜💞
All so lovely!
Thanks, Heidi.
I love irises. Our weather is still so warm, some of our irises are in bloom.
Thanks, Roberta.
Beautiful Tim 🤗
Thanks, Gabriela.
My pleasure Tim.
The blooms are so beautiful – iris being one of my favourites to look at and paint. The owls are forever gorgeous. 🙂
Iris are great subjects for painting and photography. Thanks, Janet.
Hoot and blooms add sweetness to my day! 👌
…Hoots!
Hooters!
Happy to add some sweetness to your day. Thanks, Marina.
Iris were my dad’s favorite, he would have been 82 today. Owlets are growing too quickly.
Happy birthday to you dearly departed dad. The owlets will be flying soon. Thanks, Brad.
Thank you.
Gorgeous images of irises – lovely variety, too.
Love the commentary below the owlets!
More irises on the way. Willa is a sassy. Thanks, Dale.
Lovely. And of course she is!
Gorgeous flowers Timothy. The owls are sweet as ever. I’m overridden with honeysuckle vines that are laden with blooms. It’s like a perfume boutique around here. Lovely post as always.
Thanks, Holly. It’s so dry here our honey suckles have very little scent.
My neighbor is complaining about her allergies and wants me to dig it up. I sympathize ( I have allergies too). that’s a major project, it’s huge !
have a wonderful day dear Timothy.
Honeysuckle is not considered a high level allergen plant. It produces a low level of airborne pollen. Do you have wisteria? Wisteria is a major allergen plant.
I’ll bet this is Wisteria. Very small white buds that nearly cover the entire bush.
That sounds like Queens Lace, which is highly allergenic. Wisteria, often purple, hangs like Christmas ornaments.
Never saw purple and yellow irises. Beautiful photos of them
Such lovely Irises. I hope to see mine in Pennsylvania very soon.
The owlets are getting so big!
Happy May Tim!
Thanks, Nancy. Happy May.
Just getting back into it – lovely flowers, but you know I am partial to the feathers. Apparently missed the hatching. Can’t wait for Willa and Wonka to grow into their feathers! At this rate of production, your mice won’t have a chance ha.
Thanks, Brian. If Linda is catching up with you, I gave her advanced warning on a couple of posts.
Mrs. Chess loves anything honeysuckle. She will also be “hooting” the weekend grocery list to me later today lol.
Seems to happen to all of us. Thanks, Bruce.
I love the Nora silhouette.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Beautiful colors of iris. Ours have just finished blooming. The blooms never seem to last long enough.
Thanks, Rebecca.
I know irises are not your favorite flowers, Tim, but those are very beautiful, and you take such alluring photos of them! Our Dutch irises are blooming, but the German bearded ones are still at fat buds. The wild yellow flag irises are just opening up.
I bet you have hummers that visit the honeysuckle?
I love the photos of Willa! The way the feathers and fluff grow, the youngsters look like little spacemen. That is a cute shot of her staring right at you.
The molten sunsets gorgeous as always!
When I was at UNM two weeks ago, their roses and irises were in full bloom and about done, and ours were not budding yet. Besides Lady banks, our roses are thinking about blooming. The irises spouted up, budded and started opening this week. Interesting the micro climate difference between UNM and us. UNM is 300 feet higher and 20 miles southeast of us. The owlets are growing up quickly. Thanks, Lavinia.
The part about Nora hooting a grocery list made me laugh! Love your owl friends, they’re so majestic. 🙂
Happy you got a laugh. They are. Thanks, IM.
Blooming marvellous.
These are all stunning shots Tim. And those owlets are simply adorable.
Thanks, Miriam.
Your Iris blooms are beautiful … and so is that sunset! Those owlets are getting big!
Thanks, Julie.
