Dirtbag

Moon at dawn

Sasha heard our nephew is a “Dirtbag,” and she thought that sounded great and got all dirty in solidarity. Our nephew drives around the country Bouldering, a type of rock climbing.

Sasha refilling to bring more leaves and dirt into the house.

Sasha can be clean and cute.

Partly cloudy, on the warm side of cool (73ºF, 22.8ºC), and windy this afternoon.

    • Cat’s love rolling in the dirt. It helps clean their fur. Cat’s think we are weird for taking showers and getting all wet, when we could simply go out, roll in the dirt and then lick ourselves clean. Thanks, Rebecca.

  1. Beautiful moon-at-dawn photos! As long as Sasha rolls in dirt and leaves and not dead animals, you should be fine. (We had a dog who liked to roll on decomposing rodent corpses. Then she’d come in the house and sit under the table while we were eating, not understanding why we would promptly put her back outside.

  2. Sasha looks like she is trying to emulate Pig Pen there, and doing a great job of it. 🙂

That is a beautiful moon series, and I always love the Sandias in at any temperature or time of year.

    • Thanks, Lavinia. Sasha does do a good Pig Pen, 30 this morning and it;s supposed to get to 74 this afternoon.

  3. Sasha knows how to have fun! I have to say, I have not seen too many cats that like to get their fur dirty – looks like you have two special ones with Sasha and Marbles.

    She’s walkin’ over to me
    This must be fake
    My lip starts to shake
How does she know who I am?
And why does she give a damn about me?
I’ve got two tickets to Iron Maiden, baby
Come with me Friday, don’t say maybe
I’m just a teenage dirtbag, baby, like you

    • Cats roll in the dirt then lick themselves clean. That’s why they don’t understand why we take showers and get all wet, when we could simply roll in the dirt and lick ourselves clean. With the persistence of drought, I’ve been taking the kitty’s advice these days. Thanks, Brian.
