We had a light snow most of the day, which left a dusting of snow on top of a hardened layer of thin ice that was not much fun to scrape off the windshield and windows. After 40 minutes on the road, I stopped at the post office in Corrales to pick up the mail, and noticed that the ice and snow stuck on the hood was only a little wind-streaked.

I love the photo! P.S. take it from a Canadian. Start your car 20 minutes early with the heat blasting. You won’t have to scrape ice.
Unfortunately, I don’t have that luxury of going out, starting the car and letting it warm up at the office. If I left it running, warming up, downtown it would be stolen in the blink of an eye. At home the car is parked under a car port, so I don’t have to scrape ice.
To true. Its not worth it were you live, but my wife blew $600 on a remote engine starter on her Malibu. I of course get the “ice block” Honda.
Fortunately, we generally have great weather in the Albuquerque area, and I rarely have to scrape ice off the car at the office. It’s just one of those weird weather days for NM.
Trade ya!
Like the pics. Car as art again concept, and justifiably so.
Thanks!
I know that was a pain to deal with, but you sure made pretty – and interesting – pics out from it!!
Thanks, Susan!
