We just got home from the Friends of Medieval Studies holiday get together. We had great time visiting with fellow medievalists. Tim Graham, Director of the program, gave a great presentation of recent finds, and gave us an enticing preview of the spring lecture series.

-did you remember a previous life in the medieval s ?
-I once had a vision with a city and city walls, burning arrows, a horse in a tub, and medieval people. Could be a dream like vision but could also be a remembrance.
When we lived in Spain, I had various medieval type dreams, but I always figured it was from all the medieval surroundings. I can’t remember having them at home, even though I read and study medieval literature and history. Since we are all connected within the universe, we probably have tribal and ancestral memories even though we didn’t live previous lives in earlier times.
In most dreams I see objects that are part of this life, youth, adulthood etc. Only in 3 or 4 occasions they were in a totally different environment: medieval city like Avignon in the year 1500 or so, a path with bombs or objects flying over my head 1700 1800 or so, an armed aircraft in time of war WW-II . Its hard to identify what it exactly is.
Where did you live in Spain and what year ?
We lived in Madrid from February 1996 to the end of August 1999. We travelled through western and northern Spain, took a couple of trips to southern Spain and went to Italy twice while we where there.
You may have picked up some local memories or local envisions. When I moved to this new house I saw a man sitting in front of hos house. He was exactly the same mans a a my neighbor is right now but then 40 years younger.
