The Pterodactyl was sunbathing in a cottonwood and took a flight when he got tired of the paparazzo photographing him. He landed on another cottonwood across the ditch. No sooner than he settled in, another Pterodactyl flew in a took his place.

New Pterodactyl
On October 28, 2020, I posted One, Three, Four with five photos of Sandhill Cranes. Marina Kanavaki at Marina Kanavaki dot com commented: “One, three, four, three, three… that would make a very interesting beat!” I replied “¡Sí! C Em F Em Em as in C EmEmEm FFFF EmEmEm EmEmEm repeat.” I wrote lyrics and played the 1, 3, 4, 3, 3 chord progression on the guitar and recorded Cranes in the Key of C. I put the song together with footage of cranes flying above me, in a field, and over the Rio Grande.
Last night’s sunset from Beaver Point. I didn’t get home until dark tonight, but we had clear skies.

A group of cranes flew into the shallows on the Rio Grande this evening and decided to have a spat over something. They are doing a nice crane dance as part of the spat in the GIF below.

White-tailed deer on the Rio Grande at dusk.
A white-tailed deer came out of the bosque on the east side to the Rio Grande to forage on a sandbar. This is the first deer I have seen in the bosque and along the river.

The crow highway was in full swing at dusk with thousands of crows flying south over the Rio Grande and bosque.
