The Rio Grande had more water in it at 5:30 a.m. this morning
I walked my five miles in the rain again this morning. The rain gauge showed 0.61 inches of rain when I left, and 0.70 inches when I got back. It stopped raining as I finished my walk, and the rain gauge still shows 0.70 tonight. I thought the rain coming in from the west would make it to us, but it stopped short of delivering any rain tonight. We got some decent light shots while watching and waiting to see if the storm would rain on us.

The moon showed through for a brief moment

Water was flowing the full width of the river tonight.

Laurie’s first lightning shot

Although we didn’t get rain from the storm, I got some lightning photos out of it.
Definitely dogs in the clouds woofing it up.
They are having a great time at if too. Thanks, Cheyenne.
GREAT lightning photos!!
I see a muppet eating a bomb pop.
That too. Thanks, Leenda.
Silver is so beautiful. Love the lightening and the sky.
Silver is a handsome boy. Thanks, Gigi.
I love this post as I look at the rainfall all the time, especially with global warming.
having spent two years in Texas back when I was a really good runner. I would plan, my long runs around expected storms. It was cooler during storms
Since we are at altitude, 1525 meters where I live, and 3353 meters on top of the mountains, our rain is cold and cools things off quickly. We got 1.9 cm of rain overnight, which was great. Thanks, Mark.
The lightning shots are great. Very dramatic! I really like the mysterious moon image, too.
The moon made a very brief appearance. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Beautiful collection of clouds, storm, and cozy cats.
Kitties love to be cozy. Thanks, Brad.
Terrific photos, as always, Tim! When I scrolled to the one captioned, “I see dogs in the clouds” (before I read the caption) I would have sworn it was a satellite view of Earth or a map. I saw ocean and continent – I guess it was a ‘negative space’ perspective. But I can see the dogs, too. ~Ed.
It’s interesting what different people see in the clouds. All legit. Thanks, Ed.
Flash!!!!!!!
Flood. Thanks, Geoff.
Great lightning shots!
Great one, Laurie!
Thanks Tim! xx
(wifi issues tonight – don’t know if comments are working… going to bed!)
Wifi issues can be frustrating. Thanks, Resa.
aaarrrggghhh
That sunset shot with the sun melting into the ground is lovely. Your kitties always make me smile
Thanks, Julie. How is spring springing down under?
Spring has been taking its time springing … but today is stunning!
Stunning is great.
