I enjoyed the selection of photos from your area, Tim. That was some fiery sunrise! We are back into mostly clear sunny weather now, cool in the morning and warming up in by afternoon.
Thanks, Lavinia. It was a cool, fiery sunrise. It was 101º F yesterday afternoon, and 62º F this morning. Storm clouds built up in the afternoon, but all we got was wind and dust for an hour before all the storm clouds evaporated into blue/gray skies at sunset.
He’s met all the kitties through the wire. They used to scream at each other through the wire, but they have all settled down. I think Silver and Spunk would attach to him if he came inside.
He and Laurie took refuge in the Sally Port last night from a raccoon that was sneaking up on them. Doppel freaked out being shut in the screened-in Sally Port while I went out to shoo away the raccoon. He’s still pretty wild.
It’s hot and super dry. So far the Super El Niño, is Super El Wimpo. I am having to water some of our old cottons, hoping to keep them alive. They are really struggling in the dryness. Thanks, Rebecca.
As you know, Tim, we live in a rainforest in Vancouver. So it came as some shock when the city mandated the severest water restrictions this summer. I very much hope that your old cottons survive.
Horsefeathers! That funnel cloud looks large, Tim. That’s horribly scary. Did it just break apart harmlessly?
The Scoobies have been doing a lot more of the still life poses during this hot weather too. Stay safe. Hugs.
Wonderful images. I especially enjoyed the tern pics because I am not too familiar with terns. Thanks for the post.
Thanks, Susan. This is the first one I’ve photographed. It looks like a night heron with seagull wings and a forked tail. Strange bird.
I enjoyed your wide variety of pics Tim. I have never heard of a tern.
Thanks, Mitiam. It’s the first one I have photographed.
Oh such a treat today…The Stonehaven Folk Festival AND a post from Timothy. Yes!!! My day is made.
The Stonehaven Folk Festival sounds like fun. I’m happy to have helped to make your day.
Another brill selection here for us to enjoy, Tim, thanks. After much humming & harring, I thought my favourite had to be Still Life. Great!
I like the still life, too. Spunk is so cute when he be’s still. Thanks, Inchy.
That’s what I thought, Tim. Bless em all! Thanks.
WOW…..that is truly an “electric” sun……love all the photos – particularly the still life.
Pam
That sunrise was amazing. Spunk being still makes for a good photo. Thanks, Pam.
Amazing fireball sunrise and funnel sunset. Fun neon sign and condiment holder too!
It was a ball of fire. Using the Coors Light box for barbecue sauce was interesting since the place doesn’t serve beer. Thanks, Brad.
Funny about the Coors pack.

It is very dusty here, too.
103 right now.
To everything tern tern tern…
The still life has me chuckling, Tim. Lotsa fun pics. Kisses for all the Kitties (includes Doppel) xx
A good Byrd’s song for the birds. Doppel is really enjoying treats from both of us, but he’s really loving attention from Laurie.
Lol.. funny, I like funny.
Aww, sweet Doppel.
Have the other Kitties met him? xx

That sounds great!
I’m happy to hear Spunkie-Poo 💋 & Silver are liking him. Yay!
Do you think he will ever be an inside cat?

Ahh…
A wonderful collection of photos, Tim, that remind me of the beauty of summer.

That would be shocking.
The first and last photos are really striking!
Thanks, Liz.
The sun was a beautiful orange-red! I never heard of a tern. 😊
That funnel looked pretty yet kind of foreboding. At least it didn’t touch the 😅
Thanks, Becky. You know the song by The Byrds, I presume? The funnel Petered out out.
Yes I know the song. I see what you were doing there. Tern tern 🤣
I’m glad the funnel petered out!
An eclectic bunch of surprises!
Thanks, Geoff.

The funnel just made a showing and then simply Petered out. Stil life poses are a great way to beat the heat. Thanks, Teagan.
