Winter’s Moon Metal: Lirycs by Timothy Price. Music and Vocals by Teagan Ríordáin Geneviene.
This is the Metal version of the song I made with electric guitar, bass, and percussion instead of piano and acoustic guitar. The vocals and melody are the same as the version of Winter’s Moon I posted yesterday with piano and acoustic guitar. The Metal backing track really affects the mood and feeling of the song.

Winter’s Wolf Moon Rising
I enjoyed yesterday’s post. The metal music, to me, brings out more of the meaning. Listening to this version, I felt Teagan’s vocals were emphasized (I know that is an odd comment, but that is how I heard it).
I can’t wait to see what the two of you produce next…🙂
Thanks, Susan. I agree, it’s a completely different vibe. Yet both have that same starkness. Tim did a great job again. I still don’t know for sure which I like best. 😀 Thanks for listening and commenting. Hugs!
Thanks, Susan. I think the metal version emphases the darker side of the lyrics. I wrote the lyrics right after the election. So your comment is not odd in the least.
I came away with the same impression as Susan. I do prefer the non-metal version, but that softer, dreamier style of music I am more at home listening to.
Thanks. Lavinia. I think the style of music people are used to listening to determines which version they prefer.. I like both versions.
[…] We also did a metal version of the song, and Tim made a different video. That one is live not too. Click Here. […]
Tim, your winter moon photo is gorgeous. I like this version a lot, so I’m delighted that you’ve posted it too. I added the link to my blog post. Hugs.
Thanks, Teagan. I’m might post the version with acoustic guitar and bass tomorrow. I’ll see what other else comes up.
I love the images and intensity of the song. The instrumentals work really well.
Thanks, Cheyenne. I’m happy you liked it.
That’s great feedback, Cheyenne — thanks. Hugs!
I like the swagger of this: it suits the graphics
Swagger is a great word, John. 😎 Hugs.
Thanks, John.
Wow. Very atmospheric. Love the lyrics and also love hearing Teagan sing. Thank you…
Hi, Janet. I’m delighted you enjoyed this. Hummingbird hugs.
I am blown away with your singing….BRAVO xxx
I blush. 😽
A wolf moon. Love it. We’d a firey sky like the one on your vid last night. It was epic.
Thanks, Shey. Fiery skies are always epic.
I think you got what you were striving for with this version. This one is much more intense.
The art video is awesome!
Thanks, Nancy.
Hi, Nancy. It’s interesting how the same lyrics and tune can be so different when the style of music changes. Hugs.
I love the metal version!!!!!!
Thanks, Marina. It really sets the mood.
Thanks, Marina. Tim made this metal version before making the acoustic versions. I’m glad he went ahead and shared it. Hugs.
A very different feel with the metal version. I think both versions work equally well.
Tim did a lot of work on the multiple versions. It’s almost like comparing apples and oranges. Each works best for different reasons. Hugs.
Exactly!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
I like both versions, they each have their own identity.
Thanks, Dawn. They are pretty distinct.
That’s the perfect way to put it, Dawn. I’m glad you like this version too. Hugs.
Egads! The wolf moon is rising over my tree. Awesome!
EXCELLENT!
I just love this song. The metal version is a lot of fun.
Well done Tim xo & Teagan (you sound marvellous) hugs. Thank you so very much!
The wolf Moon Rose over your tree every night. I’m happy you like the song. Thanks, Resa.
AARrrrrooooooo!
Hi, Resa. Tim made several different versions. I’m glad he decided to share this one too. It gives a broader view of his lyrics. Get well soon. Hugs on the wing.
Hugs!!
This is the 4th time I stopped by to listen to Teagan sing!! She is amazing. Tim – this is a wonderful collaboration – music lyrics, voice and photography. Thank you Teagan and Tim!!!
I’m so happy you liked it. Teagan is amazing, and she did an amazing job on the tune. Thanks, Rebecca.
Don and I really enjoyed this video!!!
Having some problem getting it to load – will save and listen to it when we get better connectivity.
It’s HD, it was a huge file I uploaded to YouTube. I know they compress the files, but the I suspect that size file will not load without a fast connection. Thanks, Brian.
