One of the most significant things I’ve done, besides playing with birds, Jake, and the cats, during my Christmas vacation, is that I picked up three large paintings from Tristan’s house and took them to the office. Laurie painted them years ago. I hung two 4X6 foot (122 X 183 cm) paintings in the open work area where there is a drop ceiling. I have hardware that allows me to hang the paintings from the ceiling rails. The two walls large enough for the 6X9 foot (183 X 274 cm) painting do not have drop ceilings. Therefore, once we decide where to hang the larger painting, I will have to use brackets to hang it. I put the large painting on the couch and shelf in the foyer, leaning on the wall we could hang it on, until we decide where we will hang it.

The 6X9-foot (183 X 274 cm) painting. The painting would be hung about a foot above the couch and shelf if we hang it on this wall. The ceiling is over 13 feet (4 meters) high in the foyer.

The holiday season is the perfect time for reorganizing, especially when it comes to deciding where to hang paintings. There’s no rush—just the quiet joy of finding the right wall and angle, letting each piece settle into place where it brings the most delight.
But I must say, no canvas indoors quite compares to the paintings outside—the sun peeking shyly through clouds behind black lace trees, or the sunset casting its colors beneath their delicate silhouettes. The Master Painter, always at work, creating scenes that shift and change yet remain timeless.
Wishing you a season filled with beauty, both within and beyond your walls. Happy Holidays Timothy.
Thanks, abvr.
You are welcome, Timothy.
A great look.
Thanks, Shey.
Beautiful sunrise and sunset, Tim. The paintings add some visual interest to those bare walls.
They do. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Are these Tristan’s paintings? They’re beautiful and look great between the painter’s skies.
Laurie painted them. They were at Tristan’s house. Her house has walls large enough for the paintings. Thanks, Marina.
I should have known! They’re beautiful paintings!
I thought I had put in the writed up that Laurie painted them. I see it wasn’t there. I just added it.
Lovely vibrant paintings that complement the sky colors! 👍🏻
Thanks, Michele.
Beautiful paintings! 😍
Thanks, Tiffany.
Sunset clouds behind black lace trees, just edged it for me today, Tim.
Artisticulisationing time for you Sir.
Thanks, Inchy.
My pleasure, Sir.
The paintings are beautiful. I just read in the comment below that Laurie painted them. The two of you are talented in so many different areas.
I’ve seen that peek-a-boo sun here a lot, too. Sunset is beautiful. The other Painter at work.
I thought I had put in the write up that Laurie painted them. I must of accidently deleted it. I added it back in. Thanks, Lavinia.
Good to know they’ll finally be hung in a place where they’ll be SEEN. They look great!!
Thanks, Criag. They will be seen at the office.
I like those paintings, Tim: something calming about them, unobtrusive but interesting; they will add to the ambience of the rooms
Thanks, John!
Laurie’s paintings are wonderful. The size is truly impressive. I’m sure everyone at the office will be delighted. Hugs.
Thanks, Teagan.
You have some talented women folk.
Thanks, Couriers.
Wonderful artwork and photos.
Thanks, Gigi.
😀
The paintings are gorgeous!
Thanks!
Very nice paintings!! Those will look really nice on those walls. I had to hang some large pictures (like 4×8) that Linda bought from her favorite photographer (ironically, NOT me ha) – hardest thing I’ve ever done making sure it was secured properly and level. Good luck!
I hung a 4X8 whiteboard in the conference room in our downtown office years ago. One of the contractors we worked with, who had a glass eye, came in, looked at the whiteboard, and said, “It’s an 1/8 inch low on the right!” That SOB was right. I never corrected it since no one else noticed. Thanks, Brian.
Red sky at night, photographer’s delight!
True. Thanks, Geoff.
Super big paintings … well done Laurie
Thanks, Julie.
Lovely photos and paintings!
Thanks, Dawn.
