Are the babies still around or do they fly away once they are older? I don’t think we have owls around here and people often think the cooing of mourning doves are owls. LOL You have such a wonderful place with so many beautiful beings.
The owlets start going their own ways about this time of year. The mating pairs stick around all year. That’s funny. We have doves, and they sound nothing like owls hooting.
That’s because you know what owls sound like and we don’t. LOL We don’t have owls, so some people just think cooing doves at dusk, are what owls sound like. I know that’s funny but it’s true.
Windier conditions today. That set of clouds looks like a massive crown in that photo. The Painter has been at work! It is a pleasure to see the owls again.
Hahaha! Flying “tall”, so to speak!
Lovely photos!
Flags get excited with the slightest breeze. It’s like the old joke: What did the flag say to the wind? I’m sure you know the punchline. Thanks, Dale.
My demure side says, no way would I know.
My raunchy side says BLOW!
Demure side? Sounds cute.
Hahahaha! Can you picture it?
I can.
😏

Haven’t see the owls in awhile. Your sky, beautiful as always.
We hear the owls every night. But they aren’t often out where I can photograph them right now. Thanks, Gigi.

I like that daddy owl in the dark; and it is god to see the flag has perked up 🙂
Limp flags are not very useful. Thanks, John.
Great shot of Daddy Owl. I heard one this morning but wasn’t able to locate or photograph it. A great wake up sound, regardless. 🦉
They can be hard to see it they are not out in the open. Thanks, Michele.
That’s some crazy cloud in the second last pic. Is that a contrail in the pic?
The flag looks great! ….Viag…. seems it’s not quite finished. I wonder what happened? Maybe the rest went to Viagara Falls?
Nice to see Daddy owl around. Well mating season is around the corner. Oboy!
xo
It likely had a whirlwind romance. As Holly once said, the owls will be having a little hooty. Thanks, Resa.
Lol!!! Clever.
Should have been Hooty and the Owlfish.
Hahahaha! You are on another roll.
Yay!

A little breezy. Thanks, Lavinia.
Lovely.
Thanks, Brad.
Wowls! Yes !
Thanks, Shey.
Flag salutes the painter’s work, just like Daddy[?] Owl… and me.
Thanks, Marina.
Just beautiful. I love Daddy Owl. …..
The colouring on that dawn, Tim. Great!
Thanks, inchy.
I love the bare tree branches with Daddy Owl!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Beautiful photos!!! I especially love the silhouette of the owl in the dark! 🦉💜
Thanks, Samantha. Duolingo paired us up again. I already got all the XP. Sorry!
“Is that a flagpole or are you just glad to see me?”
Such dramatic clouds!
Thanks, dawn.
