Pink, Silver, Spunk

“Hahahahahaha! I see you Brian”

Harry Hopper!

Ladybug in Shasta Daisy. Harry Hopper. Native bee on Shasta Daisy.

Spunk being a book prop.

I presented my paper at a conference, so now I have started on Christine Robertson’s new book “Three Years OF her Life”.

I broke in the book and got through a few pages by torchlight last night.

  1. When you say presented your paper at a conference, what mean you?
    And lovely photos, of course.
    How’s the book so far?

    • I presented a paper titled “Demonic and Divine: Possession and Gender in the Middle Ages” at the 54Th Annual Meeting Of The Rocky Mountain Medieval And Renaissance Association in Salt Lake City, UT. I presented via Zoom. The paper had been accepted in the Pacific Medieval Association conference in Banff, Calgary in April, but I couldn’t make it to the conference, and they did not have a zoom option, so I didn’t present the paper for the Banff conference. The book is great so far. Christine really draws you in.

  2. That is a beautiful rose, Tim. Ours are forming fat buds now, won’t be long. It is always good to see the cats, and even the Harry the grasshopper. Congratulations on the paper presentation!

    • Sliver is trying to compete with Spunk on acting and kitty cuteness. Spunk thinks the book is pretty tasty. He lasted a lot longer as a book prop than I expected. Thanks, JYP.

        • I think is was okay. Laurie thought it really good. She thought some of my controversial theology and unconventional take on early Christian history went over the audience’s head. Oh well. Thanks, for asking.

  3. Whoa, is Silver calling me out! – that Cat better not be in cahoots with the varmints that schemed to take out my ankle. I need to teach the poodles how to be a book prop – finally start earning their keep around here ha! Harry has quite the psychedelic skin/scale color.

    • He sure is. No ankle scheming, though. He just wanted to give you the ha! Harry Hopper is psychedelic in his iridescence. Thanks, Brian.

  4. Harry Hopper is quite colorful and Spunk hanging is a lovey shot. Along with the pretty pink rose.
Glad you got to finally present your paper. And let me know how the book is.
    Have a fabulous week Tim!

  5. Happy to hear the presentation went well. I bet you got a helping hand from everyone in your paradise! From Spunk, to Harry Hopper…
    Thanks for the morning joy!

  6. We missed this post yesterday it seems. Silver hams it up and Spunk does you the favor of book propping. Coupled with the bugs and blooms, thanks for another entertaining post, Tim.

  7. Took me a minute to get over the big bug pic.

Fortunately, there are enough cute pics of Spunkie-Poo 💋 to ease my fear of many bugs.
I do like bees and lady bugs.

    Silver is a cat hoot!
Ahh I want to read Christine’s book, too!

  8. Your mutual book prop arrangement is what I’ve been missing all these years. The last pic is a classic and it’s funny to puzzle over Spunk’s expression in the context of your ‘he’s an epic mess of a psycho kitty’.
