World Opposite

We talk
My world opposite yours
Your today is my tomorrow
My today is your yesterday
Through your voice I see the future
Through my voice you glimpse the past
When I see the light, you stand in darkness
When darkness engulfs me, your light shines
My summer is your winter
When you spring, I fall
Your world opposite mine
We talk

      • Timothy, my pleasure. I really enjoyed the poem. Oh, you are so formal. Itโ€™s me, Gabriela and I have Maya and Mr. Churchill with me. and we are sending treats to everyone and hoping everything is ok.

      • Yes I know, but you have the hottest new release on Amazon right now. I can’t help but feel humility and respect for you. Give Maya and Mr. Churchill a big hug and kisses for me.

      • Timothy, thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them. But the book has nothing to do with our WP friendship. I am still the same person. Thank so much for the hug and the kisses. Hopefully they will calm them ๐ŸŒธ

      • We are the same people. But you should have recognition, and respect for your most recent accomplishments. You are modest, and humble, I really appreciate you for that, but even though you are the same person, and despite our WP relationship, you are more than deserving of a little formality and heartfelt appreciation for you comment.

      • Thank you so much for your beautiful words. I should also be grateful to friends like you who supported me and help me to get where I am now ๐Ÿ™ And I am ๐ŸŒน How is my tree doing? ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Your tree is great. I believe you saw the posts where I had all the invasive elms removed from the property? They really cleaned up around your tree, so it is very happy not to have the competition for water.

  1. I like the double meaning in your poem. If we look at the physical, you could well be writing about the U. S. and Australia. On the other hand, I can see the relationship between generations who seem to operate on opposite ends of the spectrum, figuratively speaking.
The contrail is striking. Itโ€™s been a long time since Iโ€™ve seen one that color.

    • Thanks, KT. I’m happy you get it. But I knew you would. We seem to be on the same frequency when it comes to poetry, art, life the universe and everything. 42!

  2. This is sooo beautiful Timothy and I even got a tear cuz it so reminds me of our relationships here. So precious and rare and each live had such heartfelt meaning. Your words in poetry are so heartfelt๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

    • Thanks, Cindy. I was thinking about my blogging buddies in New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.

  3. Oh, how precious! Priceless creation- both the poem and the picture. So so beautiful! Indeed, seems like our virtual community is a world apart, yet connected by technology. This is just wonderful! ๐Ÿ‘Œ

    • That is the wonder of the Internet. We can know each other virtually when we are on opposite sides of the world. Otherwise, we would never each other.

      • True that! But I do think the world is a small place. I wouldnโ€™t say โ€œneverโ€ though. Most of us are globetrotters and one never knows how theyโ€™d bump into someone they know online ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Based on true stories!)
But Ofcourse, that doesnโ€™t happen everyday. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • It’s a big world with a lot of small wonders. Like unlikely people running into each other.
