  1. Pretty photos! But Watch out those big birds steal fish! 🐟 they don’t fool around!

        • Burritos with beans, cheese and green chiles; green chile chicken enchiladas; posole with green chile; tamales with red chile; juevos rancheros with green chile salsa; green chile quesadillas; green chile melts; green chile stew; potatoes with cheese and green chiles — if you haven’t figured it out, I eat pretty much anything I can put green chile on. We also cook a lot of gourmet dishes from our Fine Cooking Magazine.

  2. Beautiful winter photos, Timothy. I like the red-brown, white and silver effect. Those cattail photos take me back to my youth. I grew up near a marshy area and spent many hours exploring the swamp and observing the inhabitants.

    • Thanks, Lavinia! There are things from youth that seem to stick with you forever. Do you remember Euell Gibbons? He had a commercial where he asked “Did you know cattails are edible?” He didn’t say which parts were edible, and when I was around 12 years old, a couple of friends and I were out on the river, and one of my friends got curious about eating cattails from Gibbons’ commercials. He took a bite out to the soft, fluffy seed head, and the cottony seeds exploded in his mouth. It was hilarious watching him trying to spit out the mass of exploded seeds. I think he was spitting out seeds for a week after that.

      • I remember Euell Gibbons well! I once ate false hellesbore thinking it was skunk cabbage when I was about 8 years old. Never made that mistake again… 🙂

I experimented wih taking photos of the Guild maple jumbo guitar from different views and editing them into one photo. I stuck it in as feature photo on the music favorites and influences page. I have much to learn, but had fun today, taking a break from painting the old garage and trench digging. Rain here today. I am using Gimp editor under Ubuntu Linux. Photos could be much better, but you will have an idea what the guitar looks like.

  3. Another beautiful, productive day out in the cold! (((((((shiver))))))))) (But all those foods with green chile do warm you up fast! 😉 )

      • 🙂 )))))))))
Probably! I don’t like fish, either, and I love green chile! Brandt is the same way. 😉

        • As a desert dweller, I just never got into fish, fishing and water related activities. When we lived in Spain, the locals just couldn’t understand our lack of interest in the beaches. When they went to the beaches on holidays, we would go to the mountains. Likewise, when the locals went to Seville for Semana Santa (Easter week) we went to Santiago de Compostela.
