Broken Cycle

My car with windswept snow in the parking lot on Old Route 66 between 2nd and 3rd Streets.

Our months-long dry spell was broken today with a major windstorm, followed by snow.

The snow was still faling when I got home.

Silver and Sasha enjoying a warm counter.

Dale’s peach tree with Resa’s Tree in the background.

Snow caused the black bamboo to bend over and cover Marina’s Tree. The top of Lavinia’s tree is showing on the left.

Catio in the snow.

My decadent birthday dinner: home made, hot and spicy, green chile cheese fries.

Prepare to DIE!

Prepare to DIE Paw-Paw-Rot-Zo!

Spunk was not very happy with me putting a cute bow on him making him look adorable. Adorable is not a part of Spunk’s vocabulary as far as he’s concerned. Rough, Tough, and Handsome yes. Cute and Adorable NOoooo! Fortunately, I was able to use the Cat Herder’s secret weapon, catnip, to calm down the poor humiliated Spunk kitty. He forgave me, followed by sweet, or should I say “catly”, kitty dreams.

Yum yum yum. I’m seeing a little longer life in your future Paw-Paw-Rot-Zo.

October Owls

Daddy Owl was in the bosque.

The owls were out hooting back and forth to each other at twilight.

He flew onto the trunk of a cottonwood before flying over to cottonwoods by the clearwater ditch

Mama Owl was on the tip-top of Mia’s Tree.

Getting a good hoot in. I pushed this photo 2 stops to get a little bit of detail.

Otherwise, Mama Owl was a silhouette.

Cranes and Canadian Geese flew by Mama Owl on their way to roost.
