Hi Lavinia. We are overcast in the 60s going into the high 70s. But we are suppossed to get rain and snow and temps dropping into the low 20s tomorrow.
It’s getting cold early in mAny regions! Still warm here . I was in Jacksonville for four days at a seminar. It was a tad chilly at night for me. Lol, that’s anything under 72 degrees.
We’ve had frost every morning for the past two weeks. You would be shirvering.
I would be a permanent fixture in front of the fireplace under about 4 blankets! Got Hot Chocolate?
Those are great photos of the very lively roadrunner. I like the fourth one best. It shows his profile so well.
Birds are very dinosaur, but roadrunners and herons are more dino than other birds. I think roadrunners are direct decedents of velociraptors and herons are still pterodactyls.
Wonderful set of photos, Timothy. Fun to look at and enjoy the details.
Thanks Maj & Sher. They are quite colorful little dinosaurs.
Wow! These are fantastic! I’ve never seen one “live”. The colours are fabulous.
Thanks, Dale. They are very colorful characters, also.
Even more so than the Loony Tunes version? 😉 I’m thinking so…
Yes. If I remember the roadrunner was one one-dimensional in the cartoon, and the Coyote had the personality.
Exactly! Well, it had a few moments that you could glimpse its cunning…
Happy Sunday 😉
Grazie, Simona.
Wonderful images of a funny bird.
Thanks, Puzzlement, They are funny.
I see autocorrect put you down as puzzlement. Stupid autocorrect.
Why not ? When I chose my nickname in 2004, it was my statement: “Lieber verwirrt als gelangweilt” = Better puzzed than bored.
I still think so. 🙂
would have liked it better as “puzzled”. Stupid fingers.
Gorgeous bird. The cartoon doesn’t do it justice 😉
Thanks, Couriers. You are right about that.
What a brilliant portrait! I’m almost inclined to like the little guy… well, you know, after all the hell he’s put the poor coyote! 😉
Thanks, Marina. Roadrunners are pretty likeable. They are very feisty birds.
I bet they are!!! 😉
Gorgeous
Thanks, Shey.
We all know him from the cartoons but the real bird is much lovelier.
Thanks, picpholio. They are beautiful birds.
Wow! I’ve never seen a roadrunner except in cartoons. These are fantastic shots, Tim. Thank you!!
Thank you, AmyRose. You need to make a trip to the desert southwest.
In good time, Tim. My days are truly tied up in knots right now taking care of elderly and ill cats, my babies. xo
You hve to take care of those kitties.
Yup.
They do look like little dinosaurs. They are beautiful birds, and that spiky crest looks adds to their expressiveness.
We’ve got a cold, dry east wind and 34 degrees here at sunrise today.

Sounds like your weather is giving you the roller coaster ride we sometimes get.
We haven’t had rain since early August. I hope their forecast is correct.
I hope so too.
I agree brilliant…birds are tough…I also love your colour palette…smiles hedy ☺️
What’s he doing at your house????? Maybe the lizards are fatter than at The Holler!
We have a lot of fat lizards. Thanks, Cindy.
Love Road Runners! They are funny little guys! I guess it’s pretty cold there right now. That’s quite a dip in the weather.
Hi Holly. It’s suppose to turn cold tomorrow. It’s in the 70s right now, but the forecast is for snow and freezing temperatures tomorrow.

Thanks, Juanita. It has a pretty crazy look.
That’s really beautiful Timothy. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are welcome, Gabriela. Thanks for stopping by.
My pleasure 🤗
Still disappointed it doesn’t look like the cartoon 😉
More dinosaur than cartoon.
Aren’t most birds?

Such a cool bird, great images!
Wowza! Spectacular pictures! We had one in our backyard yesterday but no camera in sight!
Thank you for sharing these!
You are welcome, Nancy. You have to keep cameras close at hand.
I usually do… but… there was this one time. 🙃
Sweet shots!
There must be a road runner nearby?
We have roadrunners all over out here. They would eat coyotes if they were a little bigger. Thanks, Resa.
Hahahaha!
I these are amazing shots Tim! 🙂
Thanks, Julie.
