Sunrise on VD
Besides making a great name for a rock band, Love & VD seemed an appropriate title for VD. The popularity of both in 2026 may be in question as fewer people have been hooking up and shacking up in recent years. For old, married folk, there is plenty of romance to be found in a heart-shaped pizza!

Jake found himself with a river to the left of him, bosque on the right. There he was, stuck in the middle with tree.

I usually buy heart shaped garlic bread and I just forgot this year. SO it as nice to see the pizza.

I know .Also Aldis do a tray of small heart shaped ones too,. I think it was cos the shopping was fraught last week cos of the weather–it had started snowing quite heavily, so it was a get there , get in and get oot kind of shop– and Valentine’s Day was a Saturday so we thought we’d nip down the road to one of the pubs for one drink then come back up and have the meal, so my mind was not fully on that meal and what was on it was keeping it nice but not too complicated. Oh well.. .
Snow has a way of taking the heart out of garlic bread. Simple is good in snowy weather.

I remember Dire Straits. I had to listen to the song a bit for it to jog my memory of it. I do remember their “Sultans of Swing” and “Money for Nothing” songs. They sounded like they were having a real good time recording Money.
Thanks, Lavinia. Money for Nothing was a verbatim conversation Mark Knopfler wrote down of a couple of staff members commenting on an MTV music video in a big box store. They said some controversial things that were on the original release of the album, but Dire Straits was forced to change the lyrics for subsequent presses.
The Man’s Too Strong was another song I remember from that album
