Jake got caught in the skeeter net again.

A dreary dusk

Rabbit or Roo? That one looked a bit like a kangaroo to me. I always love the Sandias, river and sky.
Jake and your kitties are hilarious!
It is rooish, but being in the northern hemisphere, I’m aticking with a bunny. 🐰 Thanks, Lavinia.
Looks like a fierce rabbit. Might bite.
Luckily, it wasn’t like The Rabbit of Caerbannog in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail!” Thanks, Cheyenne.
I feelz Jake’s sadz
That skeeter net is a menace. I get tangled up in it all too often, as well. “So, why do you have a skeeter net up in the dead of winter?” you might ask. Because we use it to keep Belafonte inside more than to keep skeeters outside. Thanks, Brian.
The cats don’t look too worried re this.
They know it’s not The Rabbit of Caerbannog! Thanks, Shey.
It does look like a Rabbit-Roo!
And it doesn’t seem to be a threat to the cranes so…
If it’s the Rabbit-Roo of Caerbannog, the cranes should be worried. But then again, a ditch bank buddy told me he saw a crane go after a coyote that was stalking it, and the coyote backed down. Thanks, Shey.
Right.
Thanks Shey as the buddy or have I been rebaptised?
Sorry about that! No holy water was involved in the mistaking of your identity. When one is blinded by beautiful bloggers, it’s easy to get mixed up.
Now THAT is what I call a brilliant save!
😉
Aw, poor Jake, caught in the skeeter net again. ☹
We have an aggressive skeeter net. It’s there to keep Belafonte inside, and it wants to keep everyone inside. Thanks, Liz.
All or nothing, eh? You’re welcome, Tim.
Poor Jake. Interestingly, there were no mosquitos in St Lucia where I’ve just been. The frogs and birds eat them all.
That’s how nature should work. Thanks, Robbie.
👌
Always wonderful.
Thanks, Gigi.
LOL!!!
I’m actually laughing out loud. JAKE! Lolololol!
I thought the kitties were a chuckle, but Jake stole the punchline. xx
Laurie laughs every time she sees that photo of Jake. Thanks, Resa.
Will he ever learn?
Not as long as he gets attention out of it.
Enjoyed this, Timothy. And I am always stunned by your photos of Sandhill Cranes… and this is a perfect blue-hour shot.
We are blessed to have the cranes hanging out so close to us. We watch them fly into the river every night and enjoy their antics and noisy cackles. Thanks, Randall.
lovely photos and so cool you hang with the cranes, Tim! Silly Jake!!!!
Jake is silly. Thanks, Cindy.
And cute!! You’re so welcome! ♥️
Scott just said, that dog has got to feel a little left out with all those furry babies running around. That third photograph is just so stunning. The snow capped mountains, the clouds and and the sun bursting forth is just amazingly brilliant and all those birds, I am a big fan of cranes. I loved the video of the cats that is hilarious. Scott and I were laughing, of course it reminded us of our two long past furry children. Thank you for sharing so much in all your posts.
The kitties try to get Jake to pay attention to them, and he generally ignores them. He has been sniffing and drooling on Marble when she rubs on him the last few days. But Jake is more about ignoring the cats than feeling left out because of them.
