A snow downpour

  1. Cool downpour! I’ve seen rain do that, but never snow.

Once, about 40 years ago, I was standing on my balcony and heard an unfamiliar sound. I looked toward the source and it was a literal wall of rain approaching. Only time in my life that I’ve seen/heard that!

  2. A beautiful dawn and a veil of snow!. Good catch, Tim! Always glad to see the kitties, too. That is a unique incense burner.

We had a break for a while in early evening to catch the moon and first bright stars and planets. Fog rolling in now.

  3. My left eye don’t see as well as my right. Even colours are muted. So whenever I take a picture, I crank up the saturation, vibrancy and contrast. In my mind, that’s how everyone else sees.

So my question to you is … that first picture .. dawn with the Mr. Miyagi trees below the clouds .. is that real? Does your world look that intense?

    • Yes, it is. Our skies are very intense. My left eye doesn’t see as well because of a macular wrinkle. Since you see muted colors, do you have cataracts?

        • Astigmatised,Astigmatised, eh? I am too. Because of my astigmatism, I could not wear contacts. I’ve worn glasses since I was a teenager.

          • Before the turn of the century, I tried these ‘hard contact lenses’ but they were terribly irritating. It’s been long enough that I could probably get soft ones, but at this point I’m so used to my glasses, I’d be pushing them up my nose even if I didn’t have them on!
