Synchronized update
Life is reduced to charging devices
Damned to eternal update hell
Bitcoin indulgences ring in virtual coffers
But no souls spring from the depths of our self-made electronic purgatory
Enslaved by our devices
Can we ever learn to breathe again?

Half moon at sunset

Sunset

You all’s souls may be trapped in a self-made cyber purgatory, but I’m just beeing. Just sayin’!

Moon strays farther from Mars and Venus.
Loved your devilish introduction … haha. my iPad charging up now, before I go out!
Holding you hostage. Thanks, Ivor.
Mine is so old
Well the one device that I have
It is on eternal charge
And perfect to catch those breathtaking moments
Without device or camera.
Your images you captured in those breathtaking moments are a delight to scroll through.
Thanks, abvr.
You welcome Timothy
We even have rechargeable and portable chargers. We did just fine without all of it, using our memories and adapting when we forgot stuff. I think the bee has the right idea, Tim. Just do your do-bee-doos! 🙂
I used to organize regional bicycles races, dances and do ad campians for shows before the Internet, email and all that. I think back on those times with wonder. However, it’s often more difficult to sync people’s electronic calendars today than in days of yore. Thanks, Mary Jo.
I changed the last line in the poem.
Strong ending.
We are prisoners of our own making!
Sunset has a face in the clouds.
Bee’s on right track…
Do you remember the line in Herbie The Love Bug. “We’s all prisoners chickee babe!”? Thanks, Dale.
Oh boy… no, I cannot say that I do; having seen it only once waaaay back!
Love it, though!
Truths written and your bee photo is incredible! Just saying.
Thanks, Michele.
Yep, ain’t that the truth! Wise bees know the best. Just beeing. Fabulous photos Tim.
Thanks, Miriam.
Love it. And the pics.
Thanks, Shey.
Like the bee, I can breathe [and be] too, enjoying your paradise images! 😉 👌
Thanks, Marina.
Tim, your words are so very true and that is one reason why I have elected to stay off of electronic devices so that I can breathe and I can BEE with Mother. There is so much in life to wonder upon, to gaze upon, to be in awe over, to laugh about and to ask “why”. Your pictures are incredible!!! Thank you!
Thanks, Amy. Here’s too well Beeing and Beeing well
Your post is so RIGHT ON!
Deep poetry you have there!!! Definitely makes you think. And, I love the photo of your laptop charging, the skies, and the upclose bee just beeing! 🐝
The first photo is my MacBook, iPhone and Apple Watch all getting OS updates at the same time. Thanks, Samantha.
You are so right about our being slaves to our devices. (I try not to think about it.)
I just bee a slave these days. I had a dumb phone for years and loved it. Now I use my phone for photography a lot more than my DSLRs. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim. I had a dumb phone for years, too. I didn’t get a smart phone until I was forced to.
I was finally given an iPhone to force me off my dumb phone. Now here I am using the an iPhone for my main camera.
Another beautiful set of sunsets, Tim. The Painter has been hard at work. I like your “being bee”. I’ve been watching the moon on nights I am out there at last light. Sometimes we have had just enough cloud to foil seeing some of the stars and planets. Big halo around the moon here last night.
The clouds have been clearing up after dark here, which makes for good night sky viewing. Thanks, Lavinia.
Wow.. so relatable Tim! 💕
Thanks, Cindy.
You’re welcome Tim! ❣️
That bee a nice photo!
It bees. Thanks, Geoff.
Yip, we are dependent on devices and electricity. That bee picture is terrific.
Thanks, Roberta.
So it’s not a pic of Spunkie-Poo 💋 charging one or more of the other cats.
Ah, yes, well…. It just gets more and more plugged in.
What I love about my street art walks is that they’re unplugged. I set my phone on airplane mode, and forget the bs.
xx
Flying around the streets looking for art. Thanks, Resa.
Charging, that’s our life and career. Glad to see you have a tangle of cables and cords too.
They are all tangled. Thanks, Debora.
Bee where you are (practice what I preach, eh!?) : )
Awesome, adorable bee.
Well, I’ll bee. Thanks, Dawn
Ain’t that the truth! I walk around my house at night and all I see is little glowing LEDs telling me all my little gadgets are soaking up the energy…or watching my every move and reporting back to Skynet. Now I am feeling paranoid.
They are watching and listening all the time. We disable Siri because she couldn’t resist butting into our conversations and giving us her opinion, which I don’t give a rat’s butt about. Thanks, Brian.
Life sure is reduced to charging devices …especially when you are in England with only one plug .. hmmm. Love that bee pic
Or you be unplugged in England. Thanks, Julie.
