EEEeeeK! A SPIDER!

What’s all the screaming and big bug eyes about, Harriette?
“It it it’s a a a Sp sp sp SPIDER! EEEeeeK!”
It’s only a tiny little spider.
“No. Look and it up there in the corner being all huge a scary! EEEeeek!”
I think you are overreacting, Harriette.
“Overreacting my hairy leg! That is one big, scary spider! EEEeeek! And double EeEeEeeeEK!”

  1. I have arachnophobia. It has improved a little since I was a child but I’d still rather not see spiders in my proximity. That being said… amazing photography. Spiders are fascinating creatures… Gotta love their talent for weaving webs. 🕸️ 🕷️

  2. LOL. Fun with spiders, Tim?
I expected to see another tarantula strutting his stuff down the middle of the street when we finally got some rain. (That’s what I saw last year.) They can walk up and down the street all they want, as long as they stay outside.
    Hugs on the wing.

    • Tarantulas like to come out after it rains. If you put your hand down flat, they will crawl on it and and you can let them walk from one hand to another. Tarantulasare generally easy to handle. Thanks, Teagan.

      • That one let me get really close with the (camera) phone. I’m not much of a spider person. As long as they stay outside, I’ll leave them be, and hope they eat a lot of ants. But that one fascinated me.

  3. A lot of my friends hate spiders but I do love them. They can live free in my house and I leave them alone. However, Jimi loves to eat one occasionally…

  4. Hilarious! Spiders are cool. I have official “bug glasses” with a post card at either end of the house to take out uninvited guests. I capture everything, wasps too. BUT, if I do lose control of the situation, I will scream like a girl before regaining my composure.

    • I happy you found the post funny as it was intended to be funny. My wife does the same on screaming before regaining her composer.

  5. I can hear all of the EEEEEks from here as there have been many shrills coming from here but he is a very cute spider and love the colors and capture. I would say hush my friends and leave little Harriette be 💖💖👏👏

    • Arachnophobia is quite common. Thanks for braving it and visiting, Angelilie. Did you get moved to your new place? How is it?

  6. Terrifying, Tim, yet so small all in all.
What do you use to take a close up like that?
Not going to win the prettiest face contest, but interesting.

    • I have used a macro lens in the past. I’ve been using my iPhone and my Bazooka for macros lately. Thanks, Resa.
