Thanks, Dale. Actually, my neighbor riding back from feeding horses asked if I wanted to see the butterflies. We walked back to where they were and she said “Oh! They’re mating!” They were cute little lovers making a bow tie in the process of making little butterflies.
I find this photo to be so serene and perfect, Timothy. Enjoyed the title too. Wow, they are truly beautiful butterflies, a species I have never had the pleasure to come upon.
Thanks, Jet. They are really interesting butterflies. When they are foraging, they move the flanges on their tails to trick predators. I included a video of one in this post from August 2019: https://wp.me/p1yQyy-4wU.
Awesome photo!!
Thanks, Leenda.
awwww… You are always at the right place at the right time!

Wonderful neighbour and perfect timing!
We often cross paths when I’m heading out to the bosque and she’s coming back from feeding horses or out in her yard doing things.
How nice 🙂
So charming 😉
Thanks, Rudi.
Lovely lovers…so many beautiful little creatures out there that so many fail to notice. Their loss.
Thanks, KT. So true.
Wow 😍 great shot! And beautiful butterflies
Thanks, Rockbabylove.
Awwww……. a most wonderful ‘Bow Tie’! Excellent shot, my friend!
Thanks, Marina.
🙏
So it is!
Thanks, Teri!
Dear Timothy,
great shot! 👍
Dina is just photographing butterflies as well. Not that easy.
Thanks for sharing
The Fab Four of Cley
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thanks, The Fab Four of Cley. There’s some swallowtails that have been flitting around, but they won’t land where I can get good shots of them.
That’s Dina’s problem as well. The one she wanted to photograph won’t land.
And they are really hard to capture in flight because they are so erratic.
What an amazing capture!! Beautiful.
Thanks, Sylvia.

That is a very beautiful photo. You catch some fantastic shots! I did see a grasshopper today, first in a long, long time. He was in the chives.
Thanks, Lavinia. We have a few grasshoppers around.
