Cranes foraging by the apple orchard. They start moseying closer to the paparazzo. These four turned, struck a one-footed pose, and stood in the same position for several minutes before resuming their foraging.
Lovely series, Tim. It certainly looks cold! The cranes are beautiful birds, it appears they don’t seem to mind being photographed, which make for a charming photo.
Hi Lavinia. Snow makes everything different. I was happy for the cranes to come up and pose on one leg. They reminded me of the plastic flamingos people used to put in their yards.
These beautiful images certainly capture the feel of the day!
Thanks, Susan!

Thanks, Mia. The cranes are not very skittish now, so I’m getting better photos these days.
You’re welcome, Tim.
I like the WordPress format better than the other. It’s a much cleaner space. Happy New Year.
Thanks, Susan!
A whole different world in snow, and I love those cranes. My favorite one is where all are standing on one leg. Beautiful country you live in, Tim.

So beautiful and dreamy Timothy, It makes me dream of a nice long walk with some hot cocoa 😃
Thanks, Sharon. We take the long walks in the snow, but not with hot chocolate.
More fabulous shots … looks cold Tim!
