Another garden on the Corrales Garden Tour had adobe sculpture in various states of dissolution. Adobe sculpture is a little like longer lasting sand paintings, but instead of erasing them at sundown, the adobe sculptures slowly erode back into the earth.

Very nice work! I thought the Adobe statue was holding a bottle of beer at first glance. 😉
Thanks, John! She probably held a bottle of beer at one time or another.
I love the warm tones of these photos ~ very peaceful and tranquil 🙂
Thanks! Adobe does have a warm tone, but it gets a little washed out under our stark sunshine in June. In the fall we have a softer light that produces really nice warm tones.
Warm colors are my favorites 🙂 If you hadnt guessed that already lol
I’ve noticed;)
Nice photos! Looks like you and Laurie are taking in some great garden tours. Is that that last one an actual working oven?
Thanks, Lavinia. The Corrales garden tour is fun because we get to see what other people in our village do with their gardens and how they deal with desert and water issues. Yes it is a working oven.
Great subjects â great storylineâ¦write a story using the life of an adobe sculpture and all that it witnesses while here and as it dissolves back into the earthâ¦
wow.. pretty work, lovely pics Timothy
Thanks!
Thanks for reminding me about another use for adobe!
