We had several thunderstorms move through yesterday, including a heavy hailstorm. When I got home, Laurie told me the pink peony had bloomed and ask me to go out and see if the flowers survived the hailstorm. Many of the blooms were a little beaten down, but they survived the storm. I couldn’t resist photographing the wet roses while I was out, and I ended up pretty wet myself.

Like wonderful jewels.
Did you get a lot of rain this afternoon? We only got about 1/4 inch here, but it looked really dark over where you are.
There was a lot of standing water, but our rain gage only recorded 2 tenths of an inch.
Gorgeousness! I can’t grow peonies at The Holler!!!
Thanks! It borderlines on being to hot for them here.
Very beautiful macros, excellent works!
Thanks!
Beautiful roses and peonies with the raindrops. Glad they survived the hail. Thunderstorms predicted here for tomorrow. Probably will get some hail ourselves.
Thanks, Lavinia. I can’t complain about the rain. We always need it.
OMG… I love Peonies… beautiful Pics Timothy
Thanks, Leyla!
We’re still waiting for the peonies in our garden to open. When they do, they will be beautiful. They came from my mum’s garden, and they are a beautiful remembrance of her each year. I’m so glad your beautiful blooms survived the storm.
Thanks, Julia. I’ll bet peonies are really beautiful in your area.
These are brilliant shots. 3d
