It’s half the moon it used to be!
The wind blew hard all day yesterday and well into the night.

While Mama Owl was up in the tree shootin’ the breeze, the little wowls were bobbing around in the nest. One of the wowlets tried to peek over the edge of the nest giving us a little beak peek.

Sadly, the cranes are gone. They flew north for spring and summer. I did find some flowers blooming.
With the clouds in the above photo 15 minutes before sunset, I was expecting a very colorful sunset. But the painter fooled me and only gave us a pallet of gray.
At least the orchid came through with some color.

We had my birthday celebration tonight since everyone was busy on Tuesday. Laurie got me a magenta/hot pink orchid.
Today is Laurie’s birthday and the second day of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta with a mass ascension.
