Cloudy Dawn

We got half an inch of rain yesterday and another quarter inch of rain this afternoon.

Mudback of Notre Pond enjoying the rise in the pond water from the rain.

Why did the turtle cross the levee?

This morning’s Spunk Art: “Tail In A Box!”
Turkey Vultures

I think the rain washed a lot of the fuzz off of the Lone Owlet.

Sunset after the rain

Too funny, the turtle seems unfazed by the mud and the owlet grew up overnight with a shower.. 🚿 great photos.
Thanks, Cindy.
After rain – bliss!

Maybe the rain will make its way to you. Thanks, Dawn.
Wonderful, as always.

Love that turtle! What a unique beauty.
Why did the turtle cross the levee? Why, to steal a look at Spunkie-Poo’s 💋 art! He’s a curator turtle.
Great shots, Tim, and glad you got some rain.
Any news on the abandoned owlette?
Good reason to cross the levee. I think he was on his way to the rio Grande. Thanks, Resa.
Why did the turtle cross the levee?
He would have taken a boat but he was too heavy!
Pam and Teddy
Hahaha! Thanks, Pam and Teddy.
The fourth and last photos are breathtaking.
Lordy… that turtle is carrying a load!
Do you think when you saved the owlet that fell, it hurt it’s chances of being reaccepted?
The orphan owlet is being raised by wildlife rescue. The plan is to release it when it can fly and hunt. Thanks, Dale.
That is so good to hear! Wonderful. Thanks for letting me know (and I apologise if I missed it in an earlier post.).
That owlet did lose a lot of his feathers. That looks like a snapping turtle. 😳
Gorgeous sunset at the end.
It is a snappig turtle. Thanks, Nancy.
Sunset after the rain is beautiful! I am glad to hear you got some rain, Tim. I wonder if the snapper was looking for a place to lay eggs? Glad to hear lone owlet is still doing well.
That turtle is something else! Great photos Tim ..
Thanks, Julie.
