Sunrise
Given the fact that my car has been reading the pavement temperatures upward of 120º F (48.9º C) the last few days, and Jake has been showing discomfort with the hot sidewalks and roads, Oriana suggested I get him some shoes.
Jake was not happy with his new shoes when I first put them on him.
But after a walk on the hot sidewalk, rocks and pavement at lunchtime, he decided they were alright after all.
Jake was happy after our mile walk around the block.

I am SO glad you got Jake some new shoes! I was watching a few people walk their dogs today, and while our temps were not as high (but it was humid and gross), I was hoping they kept off the pavement anyway.
Over here, dogs usually get the booties for winter which helps prevent the salt and rocks spread over the sidewalks from hurting their pads.

Lucky Jake! Cute too! Can’t imagine it would be comfortable walking round on hot pavements. I used to always take Harry out walking early or after the sun had gone out.

Jake got used to his new shoes pretty fast! I remember trying them on Hera and her feet would hop about in 4 different directions! Btw he looks so cool in the car. So did they tell you what sort of allergy?

The shoes are a great idea. He looks so cute! He’s taking them in stride. It seems like there should be a cure in nature for allergies, as it seems allergies to things of the Earth are not supposed to be a thing. Wonder what’s doing this to us, including dogs.

WP is so weird. I wrote a simple game to include in a future post. It has JavaScript in the code. WP does not support JavaScript. The options I have for adding JavaScript support in WP will remove my posts from the Reader, so followers would not see my posts in the Reader. It makes no sense to me. Especially since I pay the commercial rate to have enough disk space on WP to post photos. I’m going to have to go at it in a very roundabout way to post the game. I’ve spent 10 times the amount of time it took me to write the game trying to figure out how to get it to work on WP. So frustrating. Thanks, Resa.
