Dreaded DST 2025

Dreaded DST 2025. Lyrics: Timothy Price. Music: Timothy Price with AI. Vocals: AI T&T.

My annual song for changing to daylight saving time. I used AI to generate the music from my lyrics based on my guidlines for the key, style, meter where to place vocies, etc. I also had AI create voices for me and Teagan, and named our AI duo “AI T&T.” I used AI to create the images and used AI to animate the images for the video.

We’ve also been having weird weather that doesn’t play well with my joints on the eve of the dreaded DST.

  1. Hi, Tim. I’m sorry the weather is being a physical pain (as well as every other kind of pain). It seems to be hitting me harder than ever this year too, if in a different way.
The song and the video turned out great. It has a hypnotic feeling that (appropriately) reminds me of the groggy wakeup after not enough sleep. Feel better soon. Hugs.

  2. Tim, it is fascinating to see what AI can do with your idea and words. I’d love to know more about the process you used to make this. Love the fotitos tambien!!!

    • Thanks, Geoff. I’m using aimusic.so for the music, Nightcafe and ChatGPT Dall-E for images, Vidful.ai, Nightcafe, and ChatGPT Sora for video. It can take a lot of refining and changing descriptions to get close to what you want. Often I don’t get what I intended at all. It takes a lot of patience to get what you are imagining out of AI.

  3. Brilliant, Tim! Your talent has vastly gone voom! Perhaps when we get to Fall we will finally stop this silliness of playing with time. As for your joints, my empathy from one who feels the changes in the weather. It feels really good to be here with you today. Powerful cloud pictures as Mother declares Her Power!

  4. As one who avoids AI at all costs, I have to admit, I loved the voices and the video. Not fun when the joints complain! The photos are so moody!

    • Thanks, Rebecca. I’m finding it to be useful, but it takes a lot of thought and patience to get results that are close to what I have in mind.

      • When Don and I were viewing your video, we both recognized the amount of time and effort that went into this production. I have been exploring how easy it is to use AI in video and recording production. It is not that easy. I read that creating an AI video with music generally takes anywhere from a few hours to several days, depending on the complexity of the project. Factors such as the length of the video, the quality of the AI tools used, the amount of customization required, and the availability of resources can significantly influence the overall timeline. You inspire me, Tim!!!

        • My young staff are streamlining processes with AI. Once you get some models down, AI can do mundane, time-consuming tasks quickly. Some of the creators doing really high-end videos probably have models that help streamline processes, but they are paying a high price to get high-quality, consistent content. I’m paying for the low-end, pro subscriptions that have no watermarks and publishing rights, but there are still a lot of restrictions compared to the high-end pro and enterprise subscriptions.

  5. Love the song and I’m sleeeeepy but It’s all good to get some later night time. I’m all balled up. Wish it stayed the same. Nicely done Tim and Teagan!!! Electric! This is when I shouldn’t be so ridgid . Maybe you’re teaching old timers . 💕

  6. Scott and I watched your video together on the big screen, wow, that’s impressive. The lyrics were great, as were the music and video photographs. I hope you do more of this; I loved it. Great stuff, Tim. I know what you mean about the cold weather it is hard on my joints as well. Big hugs

  7. Your song and video are very good, Tim.

I don’t get Daylight Savings. It’s more like Daylight Spending.

    Fun post! xx

  8. I now can say I know TWO songs that use the word “asunder” – used to be reserved for Kate Bush, but now you have joined that elite group of lyricists!!

    • Well, thank you. I used it in another song, but I can’t remember which one right off the hand. Thanks, Brian.
