    • Thanks, Jane. I find it a strange cemetery because there are so many unmarked graves other than a pile of stones, a mount of dirt, a concrete slab, a rock or cement outline.

      • The unmarked graves, they’re either pioneer graves or graves the family couldn’t afford a marker. In the small town I grew up in, after the year in Arkansas, the cemetery was mostly pioneer graves. Sometimes they were recorded, most times, they weren’t.

    • I thought so too. It must be the fading light. Kinda bestows that “unsettled” quality in which you don’t want to be here when there’s less light. A cemetery at twilight is more eerie than a cemetery at night.

  1. What a stunning photo. The cemetery is akin to a ghost town – which is kinda ironic, now that I mention it.
I forgot it was the Super Sturgeon moon. I love your image.

    • You are welcome. I posted another full moon. Three in a row from July 31st through Aug 2nd. Thanks, Samantha.

    • Thanks, Geoff. I pulled this comment out of spam, also. Can’t figure out how it thinks a follower who has commented for a while is all of a sudden spam. It does it quite a bit.

  2. Egads!!! That first shot should be the opening shot of a zombie movie. They are all in their buried caskets, trying to break out….. and they DO!!!!!

  3. If you don’t mind, could you please head over to that cemetery after dark and round up any undead that are hanging about and send them my way – I need more props that that would help tremendously.

    • Will have a talk with them. A vacation away from the dry desert would be most welcome I’m sure. Thanks, Brian.
