Timothy, the pictures and the writing are out of this world ๐ค
Thanks, Gabriela.
My pleasure.
Beautiful and interesting photos of the critters and flowers Tim. Thanks for sharing them all.
Mega klasse๐๐๐๐๐คฉ๐คฉ
Thanks, junymond.
Nice set of shots there Timothy – hell of a wasp there
These pictures are stunning, Tim. I love pictures of insects and I am particularly fascinated by dragonflies.
I am amazed by the macro setting of you new iphone Tim. The detail and clarity is truly remarkable.
Hi Rebecca. No macro setting on the iPhone. These are shot on the normal wide-angle lens. I sneak up on the critters and get the phone 2 or 3 inches from them and then crop the images in camera raw. The dragonflies are very cooperative. They fly at first but almost always come back to the same spot or very near where I have the phone camera waiting. The Assassin bug is fearless.
Great dragonflies Timothy ! Have nice day ๐
Thanks, Rudi.
These are amazing shots, Timothy.
Thanks, Shey.
Wow! These photographs are so amazing! You can spot so many beautiful details…
Thanks, Herman. The Dragonflies are cooperative and hold still for me.
…and they’re all having one hell of a party!!!! Brilliant, Tim!
Thanks, Marina. They don’t have the sea, but a sea of plants to party in.
Yes, the do!!!!! ๐๐
Marvelous captures, Timothy!
Thanks, Maj & Sher.
Fantabulous shots, Tim. Such a variety of colours in the bug world!
They are a colorful lot. Thanks, Dale.
So much so and beautifully captured by you.
What a fun, musical, entomological, tiptoe through the flowers! Amazing photos, Tim.
You capture the beauty as well as the personality of your subjects, Tim. I especially like the bug giving you a good look back! ๐
Such fine details and wonderful narrative Timothy ๐ค๐ have a joyful day ~ smiles hedy โบ๏ธ
Beautifully done, Tim. I saw a huge winged something this morning. It was uncomfortably close to the door. I panicked and ducked back inside. If it was any kind of bee or wasp… well, I’ve never seen one even half that big before. Or with legs so thick. It had a wasp-like butt, but a double set of wings, that seemed — just not bee-like.
Anyhow, I guess that was my cardio for the day! LOL. Hugs on the wing!
Thanks, Teagan. Too bad you didn’t get a photo of the moster. I would have loved to see it.
Maybe I scared it as much as it scared me. I looked again a moment later, and it was gone.
There was probably another bug telling it “You didn’t you get a picture of the monster? I would like to see it!”
not sure if I like the captions ๐คฃ or the pics more. …
Those wings!!!!! wowโฃ๏ธ
Thanks, Cindy. fortunately, you can enjoy both.
Yes, it was a twofer again… last week an d this one๐๐๐โฃ๏ธ
Having lots of fun arenโt you! ๐ Thatโs rather a large wasp Tim, hope he doesnโt sting! Whatโs the lens you are using? ๐
Hi Julie. Are you ready for this? All the photos were taken with my new iPhone 12 mini for wide-angle photography. I bought the new phone instead of a wide-angle zoom for my Fujifilm XE-1. The iPhone on normal wide-angle works for a macro lens if the critters allow me to get close enough.
Wow! I didnโt expect you to say that! Great shots, great phone! ๐
The phones all have good cameras these days. Tristan recently bought a Motorola phone with a 50 megapixel camera and macro lens.
Brilliant!
Thanks, Heidi.
Fantastic!!! ๐
Thanks, Tiffany.
These are absolutely amazing photos. Truly up close and personal. Brilliant work Tim!
Thanks, Miriam.
Great shots, Tim. Love the daisies most.
Thanks, Teri.
Tim, did you know Green, Blue, Red/Orange, Black is the new white?
Just kidding!
Cute post, the way you tied the insects to songs. Just watched Chubby Checker. What a hoot.
I know most of the songs, but will check out the 2, I might not know.
Everyone has their favorite songs, even the insects. I would think that Green Jeans might be the only other song you might not know. Thanks, Resa.
True, but I know Green Onions. Well, that’s not really a song.
I learn of the moon, insect names, and more here. Awesome photos. I only occasionally like the techno sound, but Blue – the KNY factory remix is pretty good as well.
Blue is not a song I would listen to over and over. Thanks, Dawn.
