Thanks, Brian. As I mentioned to Mia, it was trying to decide if I was a threat. I was surprised he didn’t fly. Occasionally I can get pretty close to one, but it’s more common they fly off when I’m hundreds of feet from them.
Such a beautiful and calm shot!! Loved it!!

Herons are so stately! Unique reflection image captured at a beautiful part of the day. Nicely done!
Thanks, Maj & Sher.
So love the browns and blues.
A great blue among the browns would have been a good title. Thanks, Dale.
It would have. 😉
Hi Tim, beautiful photo, lovely capture. Great mixture of browns and blues. Deep in thought, I wonder what he or she is reflecting upon?
He was trying to decide if the paparazzo was a threat. I’m surprised he didn’t fly, but he kept a close eye on me instead. Thanks, Mia.
Well, the two of you produced an amazing photo! You’re welcome, Tim.
Great pic! Blue herons are notoriously difficult to approach. Well done!

Pterpdactyl at its best. Thanks, Cindy.
A fine wildlife catch. Last week a flock of cranes flew over.
Thanks, Harry.
He was definitely on the hunt 🙂
Thanks, picpholio.

Oh… proudly he stands. “Who’s better, me or my reflection?”!!! Beautiful, Tim!
His reflection is the only one who stands by him. Otherwise he stands alone. Thanks, Marina.
