Gorgeous result of the kind of scene I often try to reproduce with me little old Sony digital camera here in Nottingham UK – but I fail more often than succeed in doing it. Nice one Tim!
Thanks, Inchcock. Sunsets can be really tough to photograph. The contrast between what the camera sees as a bright sun casting muted light on the landscape can confuse a camera’s auto settings.
Skies often don’t come off the camera as you saw them, even with professional cameras. I often have to adjust the photos to look more like how I saw the scene. Fortunately, my wife is often witness to the scene, so I check with her to see that my adjustments to the images are in the range of what she remembered, as well.
Beautiful, very nice work!
Thanks, John!
Awesome. Love it.
Thanks, Boeta!
So gorgeous and soothing!
Thanks, Susan!
There’s a nice balance with the fans of delicate thin branches at the tops and the thick, bold shapes of the lower branches and trunks. 🙂
Thanks!
Absolutely stunning. I love how the colors all fade into one another, making the tree look like it’s glowing.
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
Very nice silhouette of the tree.
Thanks, Allen!

What a beautiful image, Tim. I like the fine detail of the branches and the sunset shining through the lower part of the tree.
Thanks, Juanita!
Beautiful sunset photo, Timothy!
Thanks, Lavinia!
Beautiful the way the yellows gradually merge into gray, with the “lace” of the bare trees in the foreground. Good eye, Tim. 🙂
Thanks, Teagan!

Cheers.
I love doing the skies on my Diary, but they rarely come out as I see them through my eyes.

Very wise indeed.
