Handsome horse! What is the crook-necked object the fellow in the striped shirt and overall is carrying?
That’s Petr Jandacek, and he has a carved staff that he had all kinds of stuff on. He gave me some arrow heads and rattlesnake eggs, which I found humorous since rattlesnakes bare their young alive. Anyway, he live is Los Alamos with is wife Louise. He has a website, http://www.jandacek.com, where he tells about his life, travel, comic books he’s made, etc. if you want to know more.

Oooh, hand-made tortillas – I want to go there! I am amused by the photo of the woman talking on the cell phone… it seems we can’t escape “today” even when visiting a place that has a very “yesterday” feel!
Thanks, Janna! I had better cell coverage at las Golondrinas than I do at home. Then there’s the photo of Laurie working on homework on her computer. I put those two together for the juxtaposition of people using technology in an old world setting.
