I made a run to the dump, and the clouds over the Sandias from the west mesa were beautiful. Laurie likes the photo in color, I like it in B&W, so I decided to put both.
The cloud bank looks more powerful in B & W, like it has its own life force, but I am still a real sucker for brilliant blue sky. I like them both. Each has a different mood.
I have to agree that I find the black and white version a more dramatic looking photo. Either way they are both striking photos. Great work!
My wife, a painter, is always saying “You photographers with your B&W!”
I’m going to have to go with the B&W. It’s so much more dramatic.
Thanks! You’re one of those silly photographers, aren’t you? 😉
Nope not me! Own a cheap camera with an expensive lens. That’s it! 😉
Odd one out here i guess, color it is!
I vote fore the B&W. The tow main elements, the hill and the clouds pop out and play with each other well.
I like the B&W, The clouds look more dramatic and fierce.
I agree! Thanks, Robin!

Thanks, Lavinia!
I must say that I love the black and white…so dramatic.
Thanks, Janet!
I love them both but if I had to choose I would go for the B&W. Great shots!
Thanks, Herman!
I vote for ;the B & W because the clouds are so amazing!
Thanks!
B & has more of an aggressive feel to it for me, the colour seems more relaxed.
Thanks. The B&W is really more in your face than the color.
Oh my oh my! Love this. You are making me so homesick!
Thanks! The weather has been really nice, and we’re putting up green chiles 😉
You do get some great sky pictures from being near those mountains; I like these two a lot.
Thanks!
