Gorgeous rose photos! The colors are quite vibrant. We have a couple of roses where the blossom is shaped more like the Rio Samba but the color is deep red with one or two white stripes. It is very fragrant, and propagates readily from cuttings. They were here when we bought the place and we have no idea what the variety is.
Thanks, Lavinia. Your red rose is probably a hybrid tea since it has the same shape as Rio Samba. But if it’s an old rose that’s not produced anymore, it maybe impossible to identify. Roses are more fragrant in humid environments. Since we are have an arid climate, none of our roses have much fragrance.
Your roses are looking GREAT!!!!
Thanks, Susan!
they look stunning. I especially love the Betty Boop. 🙂
Thanks! Betty Boop is a silly name for a beautiful rose.
Beautiful! Just lovely-
Thanks!
You know, if you take down that pole, your pecker is not going to be happy.
It’s that “the pecker” is not going to be happy if I take down the pole. I cannot claim ownership of that little pecker!
Mama says you claimed ownership. Also, for peckers, that one’s about average.
I told Mama she heard what she wanted to hear. I said “The” not “My!” Of course, when we put René in his cage for pecking at Mama’s feet, Mama has a sad pecker.
