The city has finally begun cleaning up the burned out buildings on the end of the block. This poor, unfortunate family of breaker boxes that have made their home of the building for many years will be soon be broken up.
It’s fascinating to watch demolition crews skillfully take apart buildings in hours and days that took months or even years to build. I have photos I’ve taken of this building going back 35 years, and historic photos of it that go back to the early 1900’s. I documented it burning, now I’m documenting its demolition.
Love the shots! What is it about demolition sites that draws us like a fly to…?

That would make a great story! To me anyway. I would love to see more.
Really like!! Especially the first one!
Thanks, Adèle. I thought about you when I saw those breaker boxes hanging on the edge of destruction.
Love to see the story of the life of these long standing buildings–thanks for all your efforts to keep us informed.
Thanks!
Like that first shot in particular very much. And the caption 🙂
Powerful and engaging! Looks like mother nature on the run…………
Thanks, Cindy!
