Wagner plowed the corn field under. The cranes are sparse so far, and there were a few geese, but the crows are really taking advantage of the corn scattered by the plowing.
Wow, the crows in that first shot are pretty impressive! I’m surprised the cranes are sparse there so far. Yesterday we went to the Open Space, and there were a fair number of cranes (off in the distance). Then we went to the Rio Grande Nature Center, where I do not recall seeing cranes before, and several groups flew in and landed just out of sight at the Candelaria Wetlands area (we could certainly hear them after they landed; we just couldn’t see them). I hope the cranes show up in large numbers in your area again, because I look forward to your pics of them!!

LOL I often hear that when I delve in the world of art both with writing, painting, and photography. It seems I am always looking for a deeper meaning that isn’t there. shhh don’t tell people that that wasn’t your intention. 😉

I took the photo about 9:15 am, so the cranes had probably already taken off to do whatever they do during the day.
