I don’t know what type of lilies these are. I’m pretty sure we got them as a collection from Brecks, but that was years ago, and Brecks doesn’t offer anything that looks like these lilies on their website.

Pretty In Pink Edges
Our Iceberg blooms have developed pink edges as they have aged. The blooms on this bush are normally solid white. The pink edges might be from a few cool nights that dipped down round 40º F last week.

7th Annual Corrales Rose Society Dr. Huey Tour: Lockdown Edition
Laurie under the Dr. Huey arch with her phone Facetiming with Susan.2020 brings us the lockdown edition of the annual Corrales Rose Society Dr. Huey tour. For our 7th annual tour, we Facetimed with Susan while we walked around our garden admiring our ever-growing collection of Dr. Hueys.

It’s a very basic editor, which I like, and the default adds a link to the photos so you can view them larger, a feature the current editor striped out. I can’t easily do mosaics from this editor, but that’s no big deal. I like basic and simple.
Sunset & Flowers
The photos below are of an arrangement a friend gave us for Epiphany. The flowers offer a bit of color in the dead of winter and the white roses are quite beautiful.
Porcupine Promenade
We got out late last night for a walk under the stars after putting up our third sack of green chiles, making power bars, and doing various other chores that took up all of our daylight hours. A few hundred feet before the bridge that we use to cross the clearwater ditch, I saw what looked like a weed moving ahead of us. I shined my flashlight on it, and, as I suspected, it was Porky, a very large porcupine, waddling along on its way to cross the bridge ahead of us. I pulled out my phone to see if I could get a video, but by the time I got the phone convinced to take a video in the dark, Porky had crossed the bridged and headed down into the cottonwoods between the clearwater ditch and the irrigation ditch. I managed to get a short, 15 second video of Porky waddling into the undergrowth by a large cottonwood. I assembled and arranged a short piece of music for Porky’s promenade.

Cosmos & Roses
Our cosmos have started to bloom, and the roses are putting on another round of blooms. The little white and green flowers in the second and third set of photos below are a wildflower that busts open like fireworks. It reminds me of dill, and the wasps and butterflies love it.
