Gwenyn Brodorol (Native Bee in Welsh)
This is a large native bee of some kind, but I don’t know what its name is. It’s the same size as a bumblebee, but longer, with a more greenish color. It was really working the sunflower and had pollen on its back instead of its legs. I’m seeing fewer bees as the temps are dropping at night. Leaves are starting to turn yellow and I’ve seen a few dead bumblebees on the ground.

Spunk Vegging
“Oh! Yes! Veggies. Can I have some?”
Spunk likes veggies. Especially string beans. He plays with them and eats them.
Spunk pushes the lid aside to see if he can sneak a string bean.
“Hmmm! What do I want? How about a string bean?”
“Uhm! Paparazzo! Did you know these veggies are still cold?”
I hadn’t lit the burner before Spunk decided to try and sneak a string bean.
I Got It Covered
I spent all morning taking off the old wind-torn cover, cutting back roses and trumpet vine, and putting on a new cover on the canopy. We are covered again for another year or two.
